I hope Senator Obama's Team has a strategy for tomorrow. I think they'll succeed tonight in making her a victim and the poster child for GOP faux feminism. As I mentioned yesterday, I watched footage of a 2006 AK gubernatorial debate, and she was quite good at concealing her extreme positions while looking poised and feminine. She has the same talent as Hillary Clinton, seeming to offer more expertise than she actually is. I expect to give a very “good” speech that the talking heads will gush over and declare John McCain a winning gambler. Undoubtedly she'll endear herself tonight to a lot of moderate Democratic women or the so-called Reagan Republicans.

We're in for a real fight.

It's the logical conclusion. It is what Bush has been pushing us toward all these years. Regardless of the consequences, this is the vision of America these people have. The Bill of Rights to them only has 1 amendment-- the 2nd amendment. The rest are ignored or perverted for their uses.

They will use the GNP as "proof" that their economic policies are working, but won't be able to explain why it is only working for the people at the very top and people at the bottom are losing jobs and homes and struggling just to make a living.

Services would be gutted. The Norquist/Bush/McCain plan is to "starve the beast"-- give tax cuts, spend wildly, and when we are all but bankrupt, cut federal agencies and services that we've come to depend upon-- Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Education, HUD, Environment. The Dept of Interior's sole purpose would be to license or sell federal land to corporations without regard to conservation or environmental protections.

If people still believe that it doesn't matter whether Republicans or Democrats are in power, they haven't been paying attention the last 8 years.
