Couldn't agree with you more, but unfornately WE are not the ones controlling the echo chamber. No matter how many times McCain bitch slaps the media, they still run back to him like a prostitute to a pimp.

In trying to cover his own ass, he has ended up showing it.

I'm certainly NO political genius, but I did post several times last week on the Campaign's site that Senator Obama should show up unexpectedly and announced in DC to show he was helping to shepherd Democrats towards and agreement. After the Sarah Palin pick, it didn't take a genius to figure out McCain would pull a stunt like this. These tempermental stunts clearly show that McCain would be a disaster at governing, but they may also get him election.

Senator Obama and his team need to get the message–quick, fast and in a hurry–that you have to win before you govern.

Here, here! Just today, Andrea Mitchell asked Sen. Claire McCaskill if McCain's delaying his campaign and wanting to delay the debate succeeded in one-upping Obama. When McCaskill said (and I'm paraphrasing) that no, it shows that McCain isn't ready to lead ….etc., and Andrea said, “I'm talking about the political aspect, not the governing aspect……”. Mitchell and the rest (with the exception of KO, Rachel) are trying to sell the people a sitcom or television drama, not report the news.
