D: It wasn't the FACT that they were governors [the title]; it was the FACT that they were QUALIFIED – despite their title. IMHO. And her longevity, IMHO would NOT have made her more qualified.

Would that The Gov/1st dude could be proud of how they ran their household. This could be something that they could reflect on as being “qualified”. But NO!! {calmly! :>)}

With y'all? Hell, sometimes I wonder if I can, and I'm a reasonably
intelligent guy.

Obama would be shitted on, and rightly so. I think even the heaviest Kool
Aid drinkers here would have a problem with, let's say, an Obama/Palin
ticket, ideological differences aside. The flipside to that is....had Obama
gone that route, McCain would've picked Romney or someone else from the old
boy network-hell, he might have taken Lieberman and STILL won, pissed off
base be damned.

How is Palin qualified? Now that the enthusiasm has worn off.....I'm not
sure. There's something to be said for being a governor vice a senator
(probably the two best presidents of the last 30 years of the preceding
century were both governors before their ascendancies). But she ain't been
governor that long, so.....
