This article reminds me of when Michelle Obama was asked by a New Yorker writer back in March what she felt about Barack's chances against John McCain and she replied: "We got him."
Mrs. Greenspan said, "Wow. They sure are confident, aren't they?"
In New Hampshire this week, Barack said, "I may not throw the first punch, but I always throw the last."
Barack Obama has a second ad out targeting John McCain's habit of hiring lobbyists. This spot focuses on Bill Timmons, the man McCain tapped to plan his White House transition, a "super lobbyist" who lobbies for credit card and oil companies
A group of doctors have signed this petition urging John McCain to release his medical records:

Sen. Claire McCaskill was AWESOME on This Week.....! She shut Carly Fiorina down about McCain's policy when it comes to women. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz also did her thing on Face The Nation.
In the end, whatever the power of the religious fundamentalist movement that is now the GOP in simply denying reality, reality wins. And the fact that John McCain is now a serial and shameless liar will also sink in. The question before us is not whether this will be one day understood to be true. The question is whether it will be flushed out in time.
We cannot control these despicable liars in the McCain campaign. We can only tell the truth as fearlessly and as relentlessly and as continuously as we can until November 4. We must do our duty. And if the American people want to re-elect the machine that has helped destroy this country's national security, global reputation and economic health, then that is their choice. But I am not so depressed to think that they will.
We must give them the truth. And that will feel like hell. And we must tell it like Truman told it: cheerfully, passionately and relentlessly.
I'm not so depressed either, despite even the left wing's attempt to make me.
I have been engaged w/ the commentators at WindsofChange.net. One of the meme's the posters are running is that they are unsure of Obama ability to protect the country; he is soft on national security because he isn't passionate.
Well we have gone all over the place to discuss this rationally. Because of white privileged we can't get the majority of white people want to listen. I have a solution: Obama has to identify his national security credentials w/ the history of theTuskegee Airman. If you are familiar with their HONORABLE story, pilots were rarely allowed to break formation from the bombers(the mission) to engage in dogfighting. It wasn't being a hot head deliberately disobey orders like someone we know my his own admission. The goal was to get the bombers to the point they had to fly into flak by themselves and drop their bombs, turnaround and reform up(because some of the planes were shot down and airman died) to meet the bombers to go home.
That is the way we will run our national security w/ cool headed purpose of the mission. Protect the bombers protect us.

RobM: Who are the people at Windsofchange.net? How many are there? Strategically, how is it the best use of your time and energy to engage with them?
These are not rhetorical questions.
I support clarity and deliberateness in use of time and energy with 52 days left until the election. I hope everyone is deliberate and internally clear about what they are doing and why.

Check this post here at JJP, pointing out what others have already observed - Obam is out in front on foreign policy and the Bush Administration seems to be taking more and more of Obama's positions.
And psychologically speaking by the way, taking nothing away from Michelle Obama's impact on their lives, Barack's presence in their lives is a much greater contributor to their sense of self love and self acceptance....
We must put this man in office...

Wow...look at this...a Black man loving his children. I can actually see why White people are threatened by this...
I am just so glad that those beautiful girls have such a fantastic role model in Michelle. I can't wait until she's First Lady and every little black (and not) girl will have someone incredible to look up to!
Has anyone seen the new cover of People? I was on line at CVS and noticed the family on the cover. Didn't see the brown adopted daughter so I walked toward it, picked it up to take a closer look. Then I saw it. The brown daughter was sitting on the floor at the foot of Cindy McCain. Gross.
I did a google search for it, but didn't come up with it. If anyone finds it, please share it.

At least she made the cover. I was apprehensive that they'd even put her on the cover.
OMG - rikyrah I just posted a comment in reply to craig on the Waffles thread (BEFORE I READ THIS ARTICLE) that summarizes this without the knowledge and depth that Frank Rich has, but I said essentially the same thing. This is no longer about McCain, because they can't win with him. This really is about stopping the right wing puppet Palin from becoming the president. IT REALLY IS ABOUT PALIN and a presidency that won't be run by her, but people like her with more experience at sleazy illegal corrupt governing. People please wake up!

THE NUMBERS: Barack Obama 52 percent, John McCain 40 percent.
OF INTEREST: Iowa has long been viewed as a battleground state, in part because of narrow margins of victory in the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections, but Obama appears to have opened up a wide lead. Iowa went narrowly for the Republican, President Bush, in 2004, as it did for the Democrat, former Vice President Al Gore, in 2000. The state has seven electoral votes. ...
