That was the point. To make those tuning into the election for the first time believe that McCain hasn't been pimping his POW bio as a shield/excuse for his litany of insanity.

My mother called me today to tell me that we are turning into Hitler's Germany because of what she saw at the RNC.

She's 80 years old.

Hitler said that the bigger the lie the easier the masses believe it.

The Republicans are running on nationalism, war pornography, and fear. And big lies. The economy is in shambles. They've just put a supremacist extremist Christianist on the ticket who's appealing to "rouge cues" in big numbers, if you believe the propaganda.

In recent memory, wingnuts have massacred liberals in cold blood.

Right in their places of worship.

Will we make history by allowing itself to repeat?

If we do, we will deserve our epic ruin.

What YOU can do to help prevent this election from being stolen (Sept 5 posting)

Apparently the Obama campaign is on it -- Counsel for Change/Voter Protection Program. They need lawyers and law students. I am neither but brazenly signed up anyway in case they need volunteer-type monitors at the polls like what some of us did in 2004 with other groups.

But PLEASE please, if you're a lawyer/law student consider signing up, and if you know anyone with legal expertise, please let them know about this.

Its so easy to get caught up in the pessimism and discouragement….its sooooooooooooo easy. I fall prey to it 25 times a day but then there is always that one post or blog that I read that is the epiphany reminding me of Feb 5th…..the day I actually believed for the first time Obama would win this thing. 99% this is precisely why I'm not worried. I watch in horror as the MSM, McCain and Palin try to present a lie as truth even when a lot of people know better (mindboggling), but I'm not worried the truth always prevails. And it will again.
