I heard from my mom that there has been a standing joke on The View all week about the one black man who kept showing up in the media during the convention. I did spot a couple of black people in the masses. But in reality it was like the great last gathering of White America.

Hell, let Pat “WhyDaHellishestillonMSNBC” Buchanan tell it it, Thompson made the 2nd best speech out of the conventions, Dem and Rep. I missed it because dude started off talking like he had a wad of #@%$ in his mouth then commenced to speaking idiotic trying to act like (a) nothing is wrong with the economy (b) Democrats are defeatists who believe there is nothing we can do about the economy.

Those were not his words but that was what Mush Mouth tried to say as if the Dems didn't try to sell themselves as the party that would fix the economy. Me… I can only stand so much stupid. I tuned the sh*t out only to catch Buchanan acting out after Lieberman and Thompson both apparently showed their azz.

One thing, though, and maybe I missed this too but I didn't hear the same kind of opening night bs narrative (since this was the first full day for the Reps) spun by David “Two-faced” Gergen about how the first 2 or 3 hours of the convention were wasted by presentations that didn't supply specifics on policy or specific attacks on Dems or whatever the hell the manufactured gripe was.

Ok, I'll go back to my positivity now, no more name calling or encouraging name calling… unless it's about the Repugnantcan Party. I'll keep that one, it's so accurate.

I hope Bridget knows how pretty she is.

1 That convention center is less than half the size of the Pepsi Center and yet it still wasn't a full house.
2. If you put all the black people in the crowd together, based on what I saw, The group would look like a period on a white sheet of paper.

Also something worth noting. They had a speaker come up and talk about Cindy, IpopUpopWeallpopVicodin, McCain bringing back 2 babies from Bangladesh, one of whom she adopted. Well for the duration of his speech Cindy McCain was sitting next to and holding hands with Bridgette. But after it was over the next time you saw Bridgette she was no where to be seen. And not once for the rest of the night did you see her.
