Fired up and ready to go!

Now, Levi (Bristol's baby's father) is coming to the RNC according to Politico and Ben Smith's post. This and Palin's US Weekly and OK covers are just ridiculous (though perhaps these things were unsolicited).

And they wonder why this story is getting so much play. They are fueling the flame. And this after the "online baby shower", her running on being a mom, and choosing life for baby Trig. The McCain camp is making it very difficult to stay focused on the issues.

Thank God that Jack is doing his best to get us back on track.

If John McCain and the Republicans had held their convention as scheduled without making any modifications to accommodate the situation in the gulf region they would have been excoriated in the media. Talking heads would have raged, and Keith Olbermann would have launched into a special comment that would have undoubtedly invoked the image of McCain and/or Bush as modern Neros fiddling while America burned.

But apparently it’s ok if Obama jet-sets with some deep-pocket Hollywood types off in Switzerland for a couple of days.

I think it’s bad enough that Obama is campaigning and fund raising so much on foreign soil. The trip through Europe? Now an elitist-of-the-elite gathering in Switzerland? But refusing to call off, or even just delay, the event while your political colleagues are focused on what could have been another major disaster in the gulf coast region is priceless.

So the Republicans got a do-over.
Big deal.
That doesn't diminish the incompetence of the Bush Administration in their reaction to Hurricane Katrina.
The Bush Administration and the Republicans knew that they had damn well better respond to Gustav or they would get criticized...again...while they were showcasing their own convention.
But that Palin woman sure is pretty... I hear tell she's a former beauty queen...and secessionist.

And it doesn't take away from the fact that McCain voted AGAINST legislation to provide relief for Katrina victims.

Man, yall are BUSY today.

It's a beautiful thing....

But we have a hard fight ahead of us. The ground team is ramping up and ready to go. I am one of the Data Managers (volunteer) here in L.A. and I just got a call asking how soon can I get there. It's on folks! And I'm fired up and ready to go!
