McCain picking Palin as his running mate is more than disturbing.
Watching the first snippets of her interview with Gibson, I don't think she knows what she is talking about.
Make Georgia and the Ukraine part of Nato? Does she really believe it's up to the United States?

The comment is made in effect, Obama must win, the alternative is unthinkable. Ironically, I had the same thought – the other way around!! For example, BHO is ALONE in voting against rescuing survivors of abortions. Even NARAL didn't vote with him! Do any of you have jobs, small businesses, stocks, mutual funds, etc.? What will happen when they are taxed – do you think you'll survive?? I recently went through the minimum wage increase; hours were cut and I was $36.00 dollars poorer!! Put another way, try emptying a bucket of water to have more water in it. Who will pay for all the money BHO will give us poor citizens? BTW, Palin appeals to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – the same who holds an unconditional covenant with Israel – BHO is NO Messiah and He will intercede for his people in his good time whether Iran has nuclear capability or not!! I don't support either candidate...yet. However, to say that Mr. McCain is unfit is a bit ridiculous. To say that you disagree with him on a variety of policy issues, I suspect, is probably more what you'd mean if you weren't being partisan?

You are correct that Mrs. Palin was never scheduled to go on the show. I didn't say she was. However, in fact, it's been widely reported that the show has been bombarded with requests to have Mrs. Palin on. So much so that Ms. Winfrey released a statement on the issue suggesting that no discussions on the matter have occurred.

With Ms. Winfrey front and center in this year's political discourse, I find it completely disingenuous to the point of absurdity to suggest no discussions have occurred with respect to whether or not to have Mrs. Palin on the show.

As for the Bradley Effect, I agree with you that it hasn't been studied scientifically. However, as a small kid growing up in California , I recall going to bed one night in 1982 having seen television news reports that exit polling on election day indicated, with similar confidence to polling done immediately preceding election day, that Bradley was the clear winner. I believe the same thing occured with David Dinkins vs. Rudy Giuliani in NYC in the early '90s.

You don't think there are people out there who will say they are going to vote for Mr. Obama, go in the booth and vote for Mr. McCain and tell all their friends that they voted for Mr. Obama? I certainly do. Make of that what you will.

Steal the election. Very classy.

In my opinion, this election is coming down to black turnout in urban Detroit vs middle and working class whites in suburban and rural Michigan who would ordinarily vote for the Democrat. Like the late Tim Russert might have said this election season- "Michigan. Michigan. Michigan." It will be the Ohio or Florida of this election.

Your latest blog entry includes a few non-facts.

Oprah never scheduled Palin for an interview. Palin isn't taking interviews right now and no one knows when she is.

Oprah featured Barack BEFORE he announced his candidacy, not after. Therefore, her open pledge to not use her show for any candidate for the presidency has been honored.

The Bradley Effect is a myth used as a front for voter fraud. And even if I can't prove it, no one can prove the Bradley Effect is real either.

All that said, Palin is not to be underestimated on this ticket. And don't underestimate her.

In fact, her presence on the ticket will make it easier for the Republicans to steal the election yet again because no one can deny the enthusiasm she brings to an otherwise dead party.

McCain's already acting like he's president.

McCain didn't just wing it when he had 6 months, he did so at 3am, hours before the deadline.

He knew he was choosing her late, barely in time for the latest possible convention, giving her the shortest possible ramp-up period.

If she were truly the person who was uncommonly gifted and equipped to grow into the VP responsibilities, why didn't he the briefing process in July? Or, June?

McShame is a lot smarter than I thought he was, he knows full well that millions of lower class white women will relate to this chick and will vote for her and not him per se.
