One can’t deny that the guy is a taxer and spender. He’s got a very long laundry-list of government projects, and little hint how to pay for them other than stopping the Iraq War and taxing “the rich”. As many have shown, even if the War ended tomorrow, and taxes on everyone with incomes over $100K rolled back to levels of the 1970s, there wouldn’t be enough money to cover all of Obama’s programs. And that’s assuming that the genuinely rich didn’t have skilled tax advisers who’d make sure that they minimized their taxes.

On that note, a thing that impressed me about Obama is his tax return: he is either genuinely “patriotic” in the self-taxing sense of the word, or he’s extremely badly advised on tax matters. He and Michelle could have saved $40K+/year in taxes by having a SEP-IRA on the income from his book and his&her 401K/403Bs (not sure what Congresscritters get) on their W2 income…

What's up with Lamont Hill. Why would he bring up Rev. Wright while talking about Obama's campaign after the interview with Bill O'Reilly and Obama. He's on pointt on some things, but damn, what is it that he wants Obama to say about Rev. Wright? And why was T.D. Jakes all up in the Republican Convention. I get sick of these mega church minsters kissing ass. He has all these single black mothers using up their money going to these conferences promising how to get a man, and some of them can barely feed their kids and pay rent, but he's steadily taking their money. Sorry for the rant, but that was on my mind.

Obama is not railing against earmarks McCain is but he looks the other way when his veep has received earmarks. So Obama is pointing out his hypocrisy.

The ad actually shows that Obama is going in circles…as usual, especially when he is under pressure. He talks about “Change,” and here he trying to change what the American voters already know, i.e. McCain is the “Maverick.” Sure, his supporters might like it, but everyone knows that McCain is and has been the “Maverick” for well over a decade.

Then of all things…Obama brings up lying in the ad, and then tells several lies before the ad ends. Example: Anyone know how many times Obama voted/supported the Ketchikan Bridge?

“He supported it; he failed to change his mind on it given a second chance; Obama owns that bridge right along with Ted Stevens.”

Biden also supported the bridge. McCain voted against it, and Palin “stopped it despite Obama’s best efforts to build the boondoggle.”

Anyway, “Captain Earmark” (aka Obama) should stay away from any topics involving lobbyists and/or earmarks.

Obama had better get going and get going fast with the REAL TRUTH about the so called “maverick.” The GOP is going to be all over him and Biden like a cheap suit for the next 8 weeks and, i hope he stands up to them and not back down like Gore and kerry did.
