Thanks for the link. McSane was on This Week this morning claiming this is always his debate stlye not to look his opponent in the eye. He says that he was looking at Jim Lehrer and the “American people”. Bulls**t.

In that same interview, McCane kept up with his campaign's meme for others to “defer” them. I noticed how forceful in his tone when he said that Obama “should have” participated in town hall debates as he requested. That Obama should have consulted with him before opting out of public financing.

FYI, he made sure to use “middle class” during the interview. I guess it struck a cord.

trudat. aside, look at the cover Bill put forth when called out for sippin haterade by Chris Rock.

He says "I'm glad he's got people that love him that much but those are not the people that hold this election," Clinton said. Article goes on to say, "Instead Obama needs to reach independents and the bitters who voted for Hillary, and they need Clinton's nuanced message, even if the elites mistake it for glowing praise for Obama's opponent John McCain."

Actually makes sense, but does anyone trust him to bring in the "bitter" vote?

For the trolls-
The Dems showed up with a game plan for the meeting to deal with John McCain tactic of distracting the voters from the election and posing as a hero. However Obama and the Dems continued their strategy of steady and strong.

Maybe the problem with McCain is that he is completely calcified in his old school privileged white male supremacist ways. He is use to getting his own way via legacy/marrying into wealth and he is use to Negroes knowing their place. All his life has succeeded in this modus operandi. Now all of a sudden the rules about white supremacy and privilege have been updated and no one gave him the memo. Now the new updates force him to redefine himself as a white male which he is unable to do or not willing to do. That's why the Sarah Palin pick is coming apart at the seams and why he was ambushed and "BEEYOTCH -SLAPPED" by Obama and the Democrats in DC.

It could also be one of the underlying reasons why he is doing these publicity stunts rather than retooling his campaign to match the tenor of the time. As was stated before on this blog, if anything, this presidential race is a referendum of white (male) supremacy.

BTW. I would like to say that just because some white people are voting for Obama does not mean they are not racist or sexist. It just means they have wizened up and voting for their best economic and social interest ala Chris Matthews

Nquest. There are at least two scenes in the movie “Blazing Saddles” starring among others, the late Cleavon Little, whereby, as the new Sheriff arriving in town, the locals could not address him eye to eye. I recall at least two instances: one was the when the liltle old lady came into his office informing him of the havoc the 'big fella' in the bar and then latter this was followed by another male local who rushed into his office and was talking to the wall or an empty desk, rather than talking directly to him was. Finally McInsane understood the southern cultural narrative that Blacks and whites endure when it comes to addressing each other, whereby Blacks are not allowed to look directly into the eyes of a white person when interacting with them regardless of the status of the Black or whire person. Mel Brooks really hammered the ludicrousness of this insulting racially inspired sleigh. So yes. What McInsane did was racially insulting BO! A message to the folks of Mississippi.
