Teacher: I watched it, partially! He was trying to blame the President for the FAILURE of NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND – insufficient funding! But, more importantly, he was trying to say that Mr. Obama [a sitting Senator] does not place a high enough priority on education!! So he's trying to slam Mr. O B4 his takes office!! DANG!!! He/they are relentless!!! :>)

This statement is totally opposite of the MSM spin. All I have heard is how Palin was such a brilliant pick because she is drawing disaffected Hillary supporters and female swing voters, and now Mc(I need to use a)Cane is leading Obama in this demographic by 4 points.

To segue off of this, I really want to work to reinstate the voting paper trail here in TX. I heard Gov. Crist of FL saying that they have reinstated theirs. I believe part of the purpose of the spin is so we won't be surprised when the election is stolen. I do not trust the computerized voting machines. If you were me, how would you start on this project? I might have to get in touch with Sheila Jackson Lee.

Thanks PJamma, & all. Mayor White has been doing a lot of flood abatement construction in the city. It has made the traffic almost unbearable, but hopefully it was a good move for such a time as this. The wind is picking up, but we still don't have any rain. The street lights are not swinging violently but there is a little lightening far away. Several neighbors have boarded up their windows (I'm surprised). Most businesses are closed and several gas stations are out of gas. Its a ghost town. My son will deploy our retractable storn shudders before we crash (its fun for him). The cat is normal. I won't be afraid unless she starts to freak out.

I just tuned to Fox (I know, I know) and may have been seeing things (I took a Benadryl) but I thought I saw a youngish black woman defending Sarah Palin and comparing her to reformists like JFK and RFK. I just don't know what to say. If you look up to JFK or RFK why would you like Palin?

Judging from Keith Olberman's show tonight he is done with the whole Sarah Palin love feast. I didn't see part two of the Gibson interview but I'm assuming that is worse then part one. Rachel Maddow was about to get her critique on but MSNBC lost the signal. The better fix it because I love a fired up Rachel.

And then came the big ticker. I realized that at their core, Libertarians and Republicans both are being dishonest. They live in a community, they are part of a community, they are enriched by that community, they benefit greatly from that community, but they conveniently do not acknowledge that. They act as if they are true, pure, stand alone individuals. They enjoy the comforts and protections offered by community while attributing all those benefits solely to themselves.

And finally I realized that the traditional Democratic vision is about as perfect as we are going to get on this imperfect earth. We get to live as free individuals, we get to start businesses and create wealth, read what we want and grow and expand how we want.
