Are you serious?It is a put down. The typical way to put down/ insult another man is to call him a “woman” or to call him “gay.” There are many gay men that believe that fellatio isn't a power “move.” To use it, then, as a mechanism of control is asserting maleness and heterosexuality as the cultural norm and standard, especially when you are saying “suck my dick,” as negative (not a positive, fun way to exchange affection.)

I am hoping all progressive media will speak out about this foolishness. This isn't just about the little planned boycott of Oprah, we know that shyt isn't gonna fly, but this is about their Talibanish behavior to control the electorate and the mainstream media (which is being all too complicit). This is a violation of the Civil Rights Act. How dare they try and manipulate us with this bull. The GOP is refusing to allow Sarah Palin to speak to any of the Sunday talk shows or even do a one on one interview with any universally respected political journalist, but they are mad because Oprah won't be bullied into having her on her daytime talk show? Oh…..wait…..maybe they're mad because Oprah is the most influential woman in America ………yeah, that's the one.

I hope every women's rights group comes out to support Oprah. Only 20% of Americans believe that abortion should be illegal in cases of rape and incest. Hopefully those groups will stand up for Oprah not providing this woman with a platform. Oprah stands for self-empowerment of women, not stripping them of their right to choose.

I also hope every group that beleives in equal pay for equal work speaks up on behalf of Oprah as well.

Palin is a disgrace to women and the women who fought for her to even be in the position of being the first female on the GOP ticket. There is nothing historic about her being on a ticket, it is only the GOP ticket that makes it historic as they are 24 years LATE behind the Dems, who had the insufferable Geraldine 'archie bunker' Ferraro on the ticket.

Maybe Emily's List will back her too. I think HRC is behind this as she is still ticked that Oprah would not have her on her show.

Oprah did not have Obama on her show either once he announced. She has a right as an American citizen to endorse and support whomever she choses.

Oprah, never used her show as a political platform for Obama, though. She has not interviewed him and she should not interview Palin.

Oprah DID interview GW Bush ...and that should be enough for those repug thugs!!

In choosing a woman he doesn’t know or understand, purely for electoral advantage, he reveals a dishonourable lust for office, a disrespect for women generally and a dishonourable indifference to the future of his country.
