Even Contessa Brewer on MSNBC had Tucker Bounds looking like a nitwit. I just have to say, whatever he is being paid, is certainly not enough considering the verbal beatdowns he is forced to take on behalf of John McCain's campaign. My goodness, its just brutal to watch. First Campbell blackened his eyes and now Contessa just gut punched him.

I mean we're already in the midst of one administration that's all about lies, secrecy, and keeping things from the press/Americans with disastrous results, like the aforementioned bailout scam. That the mainstream media (no doubt motivated by the blogs gaining on them) is finally getting a spine and calling out this USSR-type behavior for what it is a positive development that should be encouraged.

Sarah Palin could be President four months from now (January 24), and continues to successfully avoid the press. There is so much we don't know about her. She's from Sandpoint, Idaho, the same place Mark Furhman moved to after Los Angeles. There is so much the public needs to learn about this person, and we may never get the chance. Especially if the Hillary die-hards stay home on November 4.

Campbell Brown did what many other journalists don't have the guts to do. I was squarely in her corner when she did it to Mr. Bounds, who was sputtering like a car running out of gas, and when she did it again last night. John McCain is treating Sarah Palin as though she's a delicate flower that must be treasured and protected. Either that or people will realize she's an empty skirtsuit who can't hold a lucid conversation without a script.

This morning, Roland Martin called for a national press blackout (or “white-out” as it were) of Palin. The rationale is that if she's not going to be available to the press, then the press ought not cover her at all.

And I couldn't agree more. Give her the same coverage as Ralph Nader or Cynthia McKinney.

I agree with Rob M!! This is too little too late. It shouldn't just be Campbell Brown but all of the press making an issue with this.
I betcha that she will come off like a rose after the debate because she will be so well “prepared”.
Everyday, there should be a massive loud drum beat from the reporters to either ask Palin questions or they will get no coverage at all.

The McCain campaign isn't ready to end its chauvinistic treatment of Palin because she hasn't been sufficiently programmed with righwing talking points to be able to parrot her answers back to her questioners.

The McCain campaign has been cramming her full of information (information BTW an informed candidate should have already known) so that she'll be able to function in her debate with Biden.

A debate, BTW, that had to be dumbed down to her level of competence.

Too litlle to late. If Ms Brown or any other talking head had challenged McCain when Schmidt became the campaign a manager and the straight talking express disappeared. The right wing MSM has already won the war. They have framed all the battles in terms of “liberal” MSM is not honest because liberal MSM claims to be neutral.
