Lilytiger, it probably wasn't clear in my comment that I think this worldview is ridiculously ugly and wrong. But I do think that.

Knowing that it is part of Christianity helped me to better understand the society I live in, though. Because such a worldview is entirely alien to me (I am not and have never been Christian, individually or in family/ancestry)

The revelation about Palin being a member of an Alaskan seccesion group should be perfect fodder to use against Hannity who used Obama's tangental relationship to Ayers as some sort of albatross. I happen to think women should have a choice and be in full control of their bodies (including deciding whether to have unprotected sex and perhaps get pregnant); but then they must deal with the consequences of their actions.

Obama's comment about it being above his pay grade was in reference to the fact that America is not a theocracy. Barack is not a Biologist, nor is he a philosopher or Religious guru. He is seeking the office of President. A President tends to the business of governing ALL the people. He balances carefully the needs and rights of ALL. Questions about when life begin are above the pay grade of even Religious leaders….but, I suppose, they must have SOMETHING with which to occupy their time.
