Knowing that McBush's record on voting for Veterans…

Is rated by Veterans organizations as the worst in the Senate!

Here's a clue:

May 2006: McCain voted against an amendment that would provide $20 million to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for health care facilities.

April 2006: McCain was one of only 13 Senators to vote against $430,000,000 for the Department of Veteran Affairs for Medical Services for outpatient care and treatment for veterans.

March 2006: McCain voted against increasing Veterans medical services funding by $1.5 billion in FY 2007 to be paid for by closing corporate tax loopholes.

March 2004: McCain once again voted for abusive tax loopholes over veterans when he voted against creating a reserve fund to allow for an increase in Veterans' medical care by $1.8 billion by eliminating abusive tax loopholes. Jeez, McCain really loves those tax loopholes for corporations, since he voted for them over our veterans' needs.

October 2003: McCain voted to table an amendment by Senator Dodd that called for an additional $322,000,000 for safety equipment for United States forces in Iraq and to reduce the amount provided for reconstruction in Iraq by $322,000,000.

April 2003: McCain urged other Senate members to table a vote (which never passed) to provide more than $1 billion for National Guard and Reserve equipment in Iraq related to a shortage of helmets, tents, bullet-proof inserts, and tactical vests.

August 2001: McCain voted against increasing the amount available for medical care for veterans by $650,000,000. To his credit, he also voted against the 2001 Bush tax cuts, which he now supports making permanent, despite the dire financial condition this country is in, and despite the fact that he indicated in 2001 that these tax cuts unfairly benefited the very wealthy at the expense of the middle class.

All this AFTER the disaster at Walter Reed, where disabled vets, many with amputated limbs were being chewed on by rats as they laid helpless in their beds.

If McCain loses, I think the NE will stir up this shytstorm. And CNN may be pissed enough to run with it, considering they initially provided Palin cover and she repaid the favor by kicking them out of her meeting with a foreign head of state at the time she's desperately trying to build up her foreign policy credentials.

You don't piss off someone who runs interference for you, and she's too dumb to realize it.

What if Todd Palin was actually running the state of Alaska, and she's just the damned figurehead? Reagan all over again, only the roles are reversed (Nancy actually ran the country for eight years while they propped up Reagan in Cabinet meetings and made him read on script like he was the POTUS, remember?)

Quite frankly, I have had it with the spin on this woman! She is not fit to lead the nation and everybody is realizing this as a matter of fact. I applaud her fumbling and bumbling ways because it only confirms what we have known~she was a gimmick for McCain's campaign.

I'm not saying the story's false, I'm saying the press probably won't pick up on it unless they have to, unless they're pressured and that pressure happens and builds over time. With John it took months and he wasn't even running anymore. The election is in November. That's not a lot of time to convince CNN to run with what will be labeled by the opposition as a hateful smear and make Palin out as a the victim.

Democrats, unless they've recently changed, are not going to hype this in the next six weeks for fear of blow back. Something else would have to happen to make it “acceptable” to discuss it in the open.

Plus, since he had such a hand in AK politics it has got to be difficult that he can longer control/handle her as he has done in the past.

I smell a tell-all book from either Bristol or Track, “Growing Up Palin”, that may make “Mommy Dearest” look like a Beverly Cleary novel I used to read in 4th grade.

They won't risk being sued, either. Ever since Carol Burnett got a $1million out of their asses for making up a story about her being drunk in public, the Enquirer knows whatever they report has to have elements of truth in it or they risk continuous lawsuits.

I read they made Jim Burdett take three lie detector tests regarding Palin cheating on her husband with his business partner.

He passed them all.

Besides, it would be too damned easy for the National Enquirer to find out if Bristol actually has that baby or not.

As Justice 58 said, they'll do ANYTHING to discredit Obama.

Or a terrorist attack. Or another natural disaster. It has to be HUGE. So huge the press will be shamed into not asking follow questions with she asks to post-pone. (not that they'd ever let them ask her questions).
