Harlem has a Congressman who needs to leave office (Charles Rangel), and, there is an opportunistic carpetbagger who does not really care about Harlem trying to get into that office (Craig Schley).

Craig Schley came out of nowhere less than one year ago at a 125th Street Rezoning meeting. He does not really know Harlem. He uses the ideas and work of others who know Harlem to “get over”. He used the 125th Street Rezoning as a way for him to get a lot of media face time that he felt would help “position” him to run against Charles Rangel.

This Wilhelmina Model is attempting to hook on to the discontent of Harlem Residents who suffer under the present crop of sorry Harlem Politicians. While tapping into this discontent, this carpetbagger is hoping that the Harlem Community does not carefully examine him. In other words he sees this as an opportunity to “get over” on Harlemites because of the intensity of their anger towards Rangel.

He is also attempting to “hook on” to Obama’s call for change. As indicated above he will use the ideas and work of others (for example, Obama’s call for change) to push through his own (personal) agenda being “Me, Myself, and I”.

Again, Charlie needs to go but this “Model of Distraction” should not be the one to replace him. Mr. Slick Schley has attempted to use the email of other groups to get himself known, piggy backed on other groups’ rallies to give a false impression that he is leading these groups, is the executive director of an organization (?) that has abused human rights (vote people), although it claims to be for human rights and has yet (it is believed) to stop using a web site to which it has not been given rights to.

Craig Schley came out of nowhere and he needs to go back to nowhere for the good of the Village of Harlem.

Personally I hope they all get voted out but I'm wary of a bunch of opportunists who pretend to be Obama supporters taking their place.

I have come a LOOOOONG way in my opinions about interracial couples, but it still did my heart good to see Barack married to a sista. Too often we see men in high or high-ish places RUN, screaming and hollering from Black women.

Meanwhile, Rangel is on NY1 trying to explain why he had four 'affordable housing' apartments!

So… Schley is, at least, more progressive and grassroots than Rangel.

And, remember, Rangel's district is the one in Harlem that didn't report ANY votes for Obama. (Bloomberg was calling it fraud, at the time.)

I would like your opinion on this guy, Craig Schley. He's running against Rangel. I have a little info on him already: he's involved with an organization called “Vote People.”

I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong on my assumption, but Michelle also has beauty going for her, too; which Hillary doesn't, no matter how hard she tries.

As for the DAR, they kept Marian Anderson from singing at the White House during the FDR administration, so Eleanor Roosevelt arranged for her to sing at Constitution Hall, or something like that; I tend to get it reversed, but I do know that DAR raised hell when Eleanor wanted Ms. Anderson to serenade at the Inauguration, or something big going on in DC in 1939.

Ironically it was Michelle that first made me notice Obama. I asked myself why so many successful black men seem to find the lightest, brightest and damn near whitest women to be their mates if they don't jump the fence totally and how this biracial man fell in love with and married a woman who looked like Michelle.

This is another way Barack reminds me of Bill Clinton. Clinton said he did not want the prettiest he wanted the smartest. Barack has done the same thing in his choice of mate in picking someone who is his match in brains and ambition.

The first time she told me about the Daughters of the Revolution and the First Ladies, I did some research. Turns out that Hillary Clinton is the only First Lady I could find who wasn't a descendant of a DAR.

My son recently played at the Mayor's breakfast for the Jazz Festival and she was there. People talked thru her whole speech. It seems like her support for hillbilly has slightly hurt her, but I'm sure she'll recover. I'm going to give her a chance unless she shows herself to be an enemy of O.
