Ain't it the truth. I am an older woman and I remember when this whole feminist thing really was going strong. Went to a convention and the women of color had to stage a takeover to even be heard. There was no sisterhood except to have your vote to further someone else for you to get behind. Priority then became my concern.

Amen! As a woman of color I noticed that Hillary stopped speaking to me "as a woman of color" her last speeches were to "white blue collar folk" which left out "women of color" Isn't that what you heard or did you sleep that one?

AMEN! i am sick of hearing this crap echoing. We really don't even know how many of those votes that she did get were from games played by the Repubs. Anyhow, she did not win! and I am pretty sick of her games. We are in a rough race here and to use game plays at this point. I have to trust that this whole thing will backfire because she has some really stupid supporters who don't care if we lose as long as she is not the candidate. I just feel this is a dangerous game that's being played here at a most crucial time. I had always heard that the Clintons were like this but I never believed it before and now I have been shown that they will do anything to win. They are exactly the way Father Pleger portrayed them in his video.....Like it or not......he was right on target.

I am so sick of the Clintons I don't know what to do. They have adapted such an infantile mode of action it seems as if we are playing children's games. I will be glad to see them just go away. Change is the issue and that is what they don't want. I don't think that Clinton is racist; I just think that he and his wife are sore losers.

I totally agree with the article. I am so angry I could "spit". I, like you, have to trust that Sen. Obama and his crew have the plans to make this backfire. I am so sick of the Clintons that I will never, ever vote for either again. This is the most immature action and childish game that I have seen in a long time. How these BC can stand by and see this crap happen is inexcusable. the Clintons need to be put in their place. were the situation reversed, the DBC would be all up and in his business demanding that he back off. This is not a Kingdom and Hillary and Bill are not royalty. She lost, and she needs to act like she lost not that she is a co-president. At a time like this when we are fighting to get rid of the Repubs. we don't need this kind of crap at the convention. I am sick of the Clintons and all of their supporters.

Oh I hope he has one, and will use it. But I fear the issue is that he feels he does need those votes. If she wanted to put a stop to this nonsense about walking out of the convention, etc., she could have (would just have taken some phone calls), but she didn't. Don't forget, she's a fighter, and she's fighting this one all right! I hope he's not misunderestimating the Clintons. If she can swing it at the convention, she will. But I don't think she can.

I'm very curious about that -- whether people think this. I am very concerned that this move makes him look weak. I know people are saying actually it's a sign of strength, and I get that interpretation, but it seems off to me. He really should have stood up to them on this one, (please SPARE me the BS about HRC not wanting this but needing to do it for her supporters) but I wonder whether as a black man he has found confrontation to really not be a good plan? Mind you I'm white (and female) so I lack some inside perspective on this. I recall as well during the primaries him not attacking her and people saying he really couldn't or he'd look like OJ. :P I know it's also his style ("disagree w/o being disagreeable"), but is it in part his style because of his dealing with being a black candidate seeking statewide/nationwide office?

BTW on the merits I couldn't agree more that this is a huge problem. We are going to look divided right up to the last minute. She should have released her delegates and told them to support BHO at the building museum, for heaven's sake. Nice words she said there, but as some perceptive person I spoke to at the time said, why didn't she release her delegates -- what game is she playing? Now we know. You think it ends here? Keep your hand on your wallet and your eyes on your back, Sen. Obama. But if she thinks by helping McCain win she is helping herself -- which is the only explanation that makes any sense, really -- she is delusional. She is simply NEVER going to be president. But I guess she wants her moment behind the podium. It's really unbelievable.

There comes a time when it has to be understand your enemies will not fight for you and this is one of those times. She can have the roll call, Bill can say his peace BUT none of that should be done in the vein of "I need these votes" because the die-hards are just that. They will pull the lever for McCain out of spite. The rest, who are concerned for the best choice for this country, will leave the ride or die mentality at the door.
