Too bad Congress has chosen not to impeach him. I believe they had good grounds to do so. To think they could impeach Bill Clinton for lying under oath and not go after George Bush for a myriad reasons is beyond me and exactly why their approval rating is in the abyss. Colin Powell had the foresight to cut his losses and run, but Condi Rice will forever be remembered for the quagmire in Iraq, a failed foreign policy and being part of one of the most secretive administrations in recent years. It has been heartening to see the rise in voter registration and the apathy towards voting decrease. My hope is that it extends past the presidential level and people realize the power in voting locally and in state-wide elections. That is the ONLY way we can get a Congress that reflects our needs, as oppsed to their own/their fundraisers/corporate needs. We also get the Congress we deserve.
