I did say Obama is not Bush. Just because you believe the surge work does not mean everybody must believe it. Indivisula purchase of health insurance will do more than what you say on personal responsibility.

Not wanting war is not weakness. Wanting war is weakness. The military view that any war we are in, we must win is not based in the needs of the country, but on the needs of the military.

Hillary Rosen said on CNN a few moments ago that Hillary Clinton's message to her supporters is that "she is not their therapist, she is a democrat".

I thought that was pretty funny. Some of the beyot**s need a therapist. As does Bill.

Wow, I was so not expecting that. I was prepared for him to be complimentary, but damn he was emotional.

He may get fired over that. But he will probably get to keep his job if he goes extra hard the next couple of nights.

Why are you confused? If abortion is murder and it becomes illegal why wouldn't murder 1 be the appropriate charge if a women goes out and has an abortion? The fundie said no. What do you say?

I do not like the bail out of the banks either but it has to be done. Banks have what are called tiers of capital. If they do not maintain them they are insolvent. Those toxic mortgage bonds are decreasing in value every time there is a trade. The FED and Treasury stepped in to sell Bear Stearns to JPMorgan in order to prevent a liquidation of these bonds(with a guarnatee of the FED taking the loss after the first billion). If the FED hadn't the sell down prices of these bonds would have ruined the tier level of capital necessary to be solvent, thus making to many large institutions holding them insolvent. The FED has also allowed banks to borrow agianst these bonds as collateral something no one else is willing to do right now.

But I expect that you know this. Your problem is that your hero McCain was involved w/ the collapse of Lincoln Financial in Arizona as part of the a Keating Five. This was part of the S&L crisis which also occurred during the Presidential term of another of your heroes Ronald Reagan.

This is another reason to votefor Obama and the Democrats. while not saints, because most believe in liberal capitalism, i.e. where the government intervenes to avoid the excesses of unbridled capitalism. This type of liberal capitalism was very prevalent under a true Republican hero Teddy Roosevelt . If you ever read the Jungle by Upton sinclair you know it helps protect the food you eat

Make no mistake, Carville is the real Judas. I don't even know why he's at the convention other than to hear Hillary and Bill. He just reiterated the fact that he thought last night was nothing, which in my opinion, was an outright show of disrespect for both Senator Kennedy and Michelle Obama. I hope somebody gets him situated before its over.

How about the Muslims here at home? Where is their freedom? They can't worship, go to school go outside without the fear of being persecuted. Obama is being attacked using the "he is a Muslim" tag. And that is enough to move people away from him.

What freedom of religion?

D, as far as gas prices, speculation is overwhelming the main cause for higher prices alongside a weak U.S. dollar which crude oil is traded in. Previously, speculators did not have this much power to bet on future oil prices; it was only after Modernization of Commodities Act in 2000 did we begin to increases on crude oil like this because of deregulation of energy trading. When Bush took office in 2001, crude was selling at $26/ barrel.

But, an increase in oil drilling now would not give short-term effects, nor would it curb our addiction to oil. Go to any European country today (because of high taxes, they are used to purchasing expensive gas) and I guarantee you will not find many gas-guzzling vehicles on the roads. Most cars are highly fuel-efficient. Europeans often walk, bicycle, or use mopeds or motorcycle to get around. SmartCars, which is just making its debut here, has been used for years in Europe. The trains are so much more updated and efficient and many people use them to travel between other countries. Europeans made lifestyle changes in order to curb their addiction. Our dependency has to be curbed. PERIOD. We need to create more fuel efficient cars and incorporate other alternative ideas to run our vehicles. It is a shame that country's like Brazil can become energy dependent by using sugar ethanol while we continue to manufacture the same gas-guzzling vehicles

Just like a drunk, you can limit his intake. But if he learns to make his own liquor, then he may possibly become more dependent and addicted. And you still haven't solved shit.
