The opening ceremony was amazing. I've never seen anything like it before. All the dancers, the lights, and the fireworks. It was all so much. The drummers were great. It was so many performers. I looked at my husband and said, “Well damn, it looks like they have the whole city of Beijing out there!!”

I love the guy faking running around the stadium. But, still, the best Torch Lighting is from Barcelona, when that archer shot the flaming arrow – nothing has topped it.

The fireworks display though, has kicked serious butt.

I have a family from the UK staying here and when that ad came on, they expressed disgust.

The little boy that was walking with Yoa Ming is 9 years old and an earthquake survivior. He lost 20 of his classmates in the quake; it was a class of 30. However, this little boy was able to save 3 of his classmates. When he was asked why did he do it? He said it was my responsibility, I'm hall monitor.

The second, and this may require for someone to actually get out of the comfortability of their couches, would be to go and join in solidarity with the people Tibet, or the Falum Gong and/or Christians that are denied their freedom to worship.
