Lastly, sub-prime lending is not an evil. It can work for people who make it work. As you know every home that is going up for foreclosure is not due to a subprime loan, there are prime loans and an over purchasing of investment properties that have gone belly up.

But now that we are on a more important subject. I don't think that the government should regulate the free market. The credit card companies have more rights and can adjust interest rates all day, while the people keep losing their freedom of choice in the free market.

The problem is that it isn't a new paradigm for us. Bill Clinton gave a very similar speech in a black church when he was President. I felt the same way then–that he was playing black people like chumps and blaming us for problems that weren't our responsibility–in order to show moderate white voters how hard he was. Hated it then. Why should I have a different opinion just because it's someone black saying it?

What if he is a black man running for POTUS, who cares about his community and he has thoughts and ideas that he did put in terms of policy. And what if he chooses to express some of those ideas to his community? This is a new paradigm for us and it is going to take some getting used to; I understand that much.

If Barack Obama is running for President of AMERICA, rather than President of Black America, then Obama should not only refrain from speaking to “black interests”, he should refrain from using black people the way white candidates have used them (to show how tough he is on crime, welfare, and on democratic “special interests”).

While you're being facetious…you are absolutely right. If he's going to talk about changing politics as we know it, then he should only speak of structural issues dealing with crime, he should only talk about systemic responsibility, and he should only talk about systemic issues with schools.
