I used to listen to J. Watkins (weekends @ Philly AM). Back then he was charming, reasonable, sane and lucid. His money must be real tight. Folks will do anything for some dough. Scary.

"Race war?" And he calls himself a pastor of a church too? Phew.

His argument in essence is: Obama shouldn't mention he's black, because saying he's black is a race card.

The Repubs are hammering Obama, so he can never point out their race baiting, or other ridiculousness like lying about him. With this particular candidate, I doubt the effectiveness of this strategy, despite a recent poll putting McCain ahead. The GOP race baits in nearly every election. It is their M.O.

Ever since McCain's people let this cat out of the bag, he's been dodging reporters. He shouldn't worry, most of them are on his side.
