Basically you are saying that the GOP has put forward their affirmative action(AA) candidate Sarah Pallin. So they should stop complaining about AA action when it benefits them. But you are clearly trying to argue that she is patently UNQUALIFIED for the position. So therefore you are accepting the equation Affirmative Action = promotion of an unqualified candidate.

You continue by saying

Again you are setting up an equation of White People Affirmative Action = Legacy= promotion of unqualified candidates like Bush.You didn’t challenge the GOP/MSM/misguided people paradigm of AA. Again your argument accept and reaffirms the idea that affirmative action =promotion of unqualified candidates. Your post is very clear in that respect. It doesn’t matter that you tried to set up this linkage of White People Affirmative Action = Legacy= promotion of unqualified candidates like Bush. Even while trying to rail at the hypocrisy you fall into the trap.

She was slurred as McCain's “illegitimate black daughter”. And we also found out about Cindy the “Pill-Popping Piece on The Side/Theiving Junkie-Ho” through the same slurs used by the Bush Cartel. Bush didn't care if he lied, or maligned McCain's family; it was get the nomination and then the White House “By Any Means Necessary”.

That's why you will only see the white members of the McCain clan. And I see a young girl who will probably be writing a tell-all book about what it was like “Growing Up McCain” in about ten years, when she's been disowned by Cindy and thrown out on the street because her value to the McCains in the area of diversity will be past its shelf life.

I'd vaguely heard of Alaskan Barbie, and only because of the shyt with trying to use her office and power as governor of Alaska to have her ex-brother-in-law fired from his job because of divorcing her sister. That tells me she would use her position in the White House in similar fashion. We already had fools who did that for eight years and proceeded to politicize the Justice Department, and any other government agencies with employees unsympathetic to the Bush Cartel.

She is soooooooooo not qualified, and probably too emotional, if using her position as governor and trying to have her brother-in-law fired because he divorced her sister is ANY indication.

And in Bush's case, it was old money made through treasonous acts that should have landed the grandfather in jail. You did business with the Nazis back in the 1940's; and got caught; you got tried, convicted and EXECUTED. Julius and Ethel Rosenburg were executed on flimisier evidence, and the Government had Prescott Bush dead to rights in terms of them financing Hitler's regime. In fact, Joe Kennedy (the Patriarch of the Kennedy Clan) was fired from his ambassadorship to England for sounding sympathetic to Hitler. If Kennedy could be fired for merely voicing his opinion at the time (1939), why the hell wasn't Prescott Bush, who was a member of the U. S. Senate, investigated for his connections to Union Bank, which was forced to divest its investments in Germany because of the impending war?

I have not fallen into any trap at all. Affirmative Action is a concept that was originally formed to correct past discrimination. However, the way John McCain is using it, is exactly what whites have always protested when a person of ethnicity shows up in a job that was heretofore, earmarked for WHITE MALES. That the person didn't get there by merit, but because they are candidates who are members of a protected class group of individuals who would be otherwise qualified, but for their gender/race/disability, etc.

Re-read the post. I am pointing out how Barack Obama is infinitely MORE QUALIFIED to be POTUS, as oppposed to the Yahoo that currently resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue – but when Obama formally received the nomination, the Whites began to scream that he got the nomination because he's Black – therefore, “Affirmative Action”.

Sarah Palin is also, by their definition, an “Affirmative Action” candidate. We are not falling into their “TRAP”; we are calling them out on their hypocracy; use Affirmative Action where “WE” are concerned; but call it something else when it's one of THEM.

My example of college admission is that if you're going to use race or gender as a deciding factor, it should be accompanied with QUALIFICATIONS. QUALIFICATIONS that Sarah Palin has yet to demonstrate she has. Other than good-looks and her current position, as Rikyrah has articulately pointed out, this woman is soooo not ready to lead in case McCain croaks. She will defer to the men in the Cabinet and I will watch this country get treated to at least another four years of Bush-lite operations and policies if Obama doesn't win.

In the People article, Cindy McCain said that her most important advice to the Palins would be to “keep their family close.” Why, then, is poor Bridget stuck in AZ with a future sister-in-law? Does she not count as family, too?
