Obama said that he chose Biden because he knew that Biden could step in if anything happened to him, and more importantly, that Biden would be a trusted adviser who wouldn't blow smoke up his behind. Biden said that Barack had more than proven that he was a fighter. It was a good interview. See if you can find it online. club penguin cheats
You know what I found interesting during the 60 minutes Obama/Biden segment? Neither of them ever mentioned McCaint's running mate's name. They referred to her as "she" "her" "a mother" blah blah blah, but her name was never mentioned by either Obama or Biden.
Biden said, "I think they're looking for more than whetther Joe Biden is from Scranton and she hunts."
Obama said, "Obviously she's a fine mother and an up and coming public servant. My sense is that she subscribes to John McCain's agenda." Yet they never once said her name, not even the interviewer, Steve Kroft.
thanks for the heads up - otherwise, I would have missed a terrific interview. I agree that they were both great - Biden was (properly) respectful , let Obama talk ( I worried whether he could do that) - and I love that he called Obama, "Boss."

I loved the interview! Barack had an excellent answer for every question. He didn't let them get any mess started.

I caught the last 7 minutes or so of the interview. It was good. You can tell that they like and respect each other. They will work wonderfully together. I guess it helped that they dressed alike, too!
Barack clearly took the lead in the interview and Biden seemed happy to be the second. They've already settled nicely into their roles. They had good back and forth, enhancing and amplifying each other's thoughts.

Comparing Obama/Biden with McCain/Palin, I don't see how there can be any doubt that O/B are the most qualified and ready to lead.
A friend brought it to my attention that during Katrina she felt helpless. What could she do? Then she contacted a beer distributor and had them donate water to the Katrina people. We could do in whatever is in our capacity just call someone and have them help a little. We remember what happen last time to New Orleans.Just a little can help. This time we don't have to feel weak.
