Oh Puleeze. Anyone who thought this guy would ever get anywhere near the TOTUS is just as whacked as this guy is. This guy is obviously not a professional but instead just a mentally ill suspect. Around his town they would call him "Cape Man" because he would walk around wearing a cape.

The real thing to worry about would be highly intelligent and sophisticated lone wolf professionals and of course that is what always worries the Secret Service the most with any president and not just Obama.

Many Democrats were seen at various "protests" carrying signs that said "Kill Bush".

I as well lived through the assassination of JFK, RFK & Dr. MLK, lives shorten by sick people. I will keep the Obama Family in my prayers and did have concerns when he is in a large amount of people and his recent trip to the middle east. There are some crazy people in this world that need a blinking light on their heads in order to recognize them.

I ain't one to gossip, but I heard this guy was on Kamp Klinton's payroll.

Has anyone noticed the secret service agent who usually has Obama's back? Back in the spring, it was a tall black guy, about as tall as the Senator. In the footage I have seen of Obama working a big crowd, this guy does an amazing job of keeping him in motion, so that he isn't a stationary target. He literally guides Obama down the line and stares dead into the crowd. This agent comes to mind because I would see him repeatedly in the footage back in the Spring, but I know that the SS rotates the security details.

I have faith that Obama is guarded by the best agents in the land, but whenever he's in a big crowd and campaigning Kennedy style, I get a little nervous for him.

Oh man! Please let the Obamas be protected. I'm glad they got the guy and put him in jail.

Prayers to protect Obama are lovely--but armed secret service men with sniper weapons are better.

CNN gives more context of what was said. Geisel "told agents that 'if he wanted to kill Senator Obama he would simply shoot him with a sniper rifle.' " As for the weaponry, that is fairly typical of someone who would be "attending a bail bondsman training class".
