I want to respond to the comment about the civil rights workers dressing in costumes. We went to school, movies, sports events, the store, church , everywhere dressed. We did not wear “costumes”. This was considered appropriate attire.

I guess that's why I wasn't crying. I thought Michelle was good but I guess I know so many talented, beautiful, articulate, hard-working, educated sistahs that I don't find her as remarkable as some “other” people do. She's just like most of the black women I know. The kids remind me of my nieces except that if they were there, we'd have had to snatch the mic back from them before they started taking the whole convention over!

I think I'm going to call it the gallery of nuts. I watch MSNBC's coverage–that's about the best it gets for commentary. For sheer sanity, yes…definitely watch CSPAN.

Tonight, I'll watch up to Mark Warner, since I'm from Virginia. I'll be tuning Hillary out and read the reviews later.

What the critics cant get over, for all their analysis and commentary and nitpicking of every syllable of that speech….they cant understand REALNESS. They just can't. They understand an act. They understand a script that is supposed to be followed closely. They understand fakeness to manipulate. They do not get REALNESS. So when they saw darn near all the delegates tearing up no matter how hard they tried to fight it….it threw them for a loop. Craig and Michelle were not acting. Sasha and Malia were not on cue. When Barack made the quip about persistence in pursuing Michelle and how you want a persistent president, it was just a spontaneous, genuine REAL moment. There are people who really don't get REALNESS. They are so used to the game they can't even conceive of how to find “real” anymore.

I was kinda shocked he walked back his 'nutjob' comment, but he said, 'i can't believe we wasted time talking to those people.' The theme of the night from MSNBC is that the PUMAs were fringe. When he said, “These people are no different than the Ron Paul people we'll seen in Minneapolis next week.” They officially Wasted Their Time and Money.

you know they are remind me of the LittleRock 9 or other segregationists… I always watched those documentary and civil rights movies when they dressed up every day (in their little costumes) and went into school. I was always amazed and proud of folks like that who made the sacrifice. They did these things, practices nonviolence, were pleasant in the face of adversity and threats to their physical safety. They knew that referencing the ignorance would do little to assiage it. So watching Michelle I am reminded of those kinds of sacrifices. That whole family has to represent themselves well in order to make a way for others. It's amazing.
