I won't make it to DC but the family will be taking the day off and having a big celebration. The day will have special meaning for us not just because of the swearing in, but Jan 20, 2009 would have been my Mom's 70th birthday. I know if Mom were still here she would be beside herself right now.

What a refreshing change it will be to have a First Couple that actually sleeps with each other instead of with other people, or not at all.

I'd imagine that Teresa Kerry is a font of knowledge and advice for Michelle. It was always my hope that she could be an “older sister” of sorts to Michelle. Teresa can give her insights few others can. As hard as it was for Teresa–you know, being an actual sentient being with thoughts and opinions–she knows that Michelle's pressures are about a 1000 times worse.

Yes, yes, and yes! It's not like the Repub standard issue female autobot in “adore” mode–it's love. And Biden's grands are SO cute. I just love when little kids try to pick up toddlers. It's adorable!

And the youngest, bless his little heart, seemed to think “Grandad, it's too many people out there. Don't let me go!!”
