Are you guys catching the latest news? McCain is getting hammered about claiming that the surge was what caused the Sunni Awakening in Anbar Province - even thought the Awakening began 6 months before the surge began. Not only that, Keith Olbermann reported that for some strange reason the gaff was edited out of the Katie Couric interview and an answer to a different question was inserted in its place.

McCain is also getting blazed by - I kid you not - JOE KLEIN about claiming Obama would rather win an election than win a war.

I'll have to look into that one — I guess I mostly follow what's in the Globe, which is “Curtis” and “Jumpstart.” I rather like Jumpstart — the cartoonist is kind of traditional, even conservative in his view of relationships, but on the other hand he's also got realistic characters and families.

“Herb & Jamaal” has always struck me as somewhere on par with “The Family Circus,” but I feel bad saying that out loud.

It's been 2 weeks (with 1 week in between to hate on Pixar — I think this is the only guy in the world who hates Wall-E)… I'm not holding out much hope here.

I just find his portrayal of the Asian kid pretty, um, chinky.

Of course, Curtis himself and his big lips eating buckets of chicken isn't knocking down any stereotype walls either.
