Just hush up now. You know a smart, educated, thoughtful, intellectual individual is not suited to be president in this country.

He needs to go out and kick some ass. Make some jokes about rape. Call his woman some revolting names to put her in her place, let her know who wears the pants in the family.

We don't do smart and educated and intellectual in this country. We (whoever it is that votes for these fucking idiots like george bush) revile and are frightened by smart. We don't like science. We don't read. We don't trust smartypants people. We don't.

So keep all this smart, magna cum laude stuff under your hats. It's not a winning point in this country. Drinking a beer with the boys, belching contest having, ass scratching dumbness ~ that's what we strive for in this nation.

Don't forget: George Bush made a habit of passing gas just before meeting any new employees. He just got such a fit of the giggles over watching their faces as they dealt with the reek while being introduced to the president. Ha! Ha fucking ha!! That's a president. That's a real man for America.

God help us if Paris falls in love with Barack Obama. I need to send out a missive to my European friends: Pass the word, all you effete, candy ass thoughtful world citizens, pretend you do NOT like this man so we can get him elected.

If people are really serious about ending affirmative action, especially when it comes to college admissions, I'm fine with that. Just apply those same academic standards to the football and basketball team, too.

This is exactly what I was was thinking….if you ever want to have an interesting read (although it is a little dry reading) check out the book “When Affirmative Action was White” which details how all of our entitlement programs in this country (Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, food stamp program, VA/FHA loans, GI Bill) were crafted specifically to give whites an advantage. It is truly scary when you look at the data…and legacy admissions are one of the worst offenses at that upper level

I wouldn't call this an accurate comparison. Nepotism, racism, sexism, “the gold old boy network,” are among the conditions that created the need for Affirmative Action. Also, white people have benefitted from Affirmative Action (something that is constantly being overlooked). The case of women and the disabled are two examples.

I get the point, but affirmative action is a federal policy initiative that seeks to address past injustices in employment and education.

Nepotism is elitist, plutocratic, and amoral.
