A black bourgeoisie perspective on U.S. politics
Donna Edwards was one of the highlights of Netroots Nation. Her victory over Al Wynn for Congress in MD was also a victory for those of us who know that African-Americans deserve representation that reflects their needs and interests on Capitol Hill. People like you and me from around the country helped fundraise and spotlight Donna’s quest to bring someone interested in positive, dynamic new black leadership to Congress. It was so exciting to hear her speak. No less than Markos Moulitsas from DailyKos introduced her inspiring keynote speech. I’d like to share it with you.
