Senator Barack Obama addressed an enormous crowd today in Berlin, Germany. It was a beautiful sight to see. The diversity . . . the enthusiasm . . . American flags waving proudly on foreign soil . . . the promise of a global community.
Such a beautiful thing.
We may have different flags, languages and cultures, but today Senator Obama spoke to a foreign crowd that was just as hopeful for change as we are . . .

While the 20th century taught us that we share a common destiny, the 21st has revealed a world more intertwined than at any time in human history. . .
The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand. The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. The walls between races and tribes; natives and immigrants; Christian and Muslim and Jew cannot stand. These now are the walls we must tear down.
