I'm just at a loss as to black folks would defend their self-indulgent and petulent behavior. If black folks had not adopted the art of compromise over the last 4 decades, where would the Democratic Party be? If we had taken an all or nothing attitude, they would have achieved nothing, including the election of Bill Clinton. Why can't we expect them to show the same degree of political maturity that we have shown when OUR issues and OUR candidates have been marginalized or completely sacrificed for the greater good of the Party?

If black bloggers indeed have voice, they need to raise it rather than playing the part of the negro happy just to be invited to the Party.

Harold Ford Jr. just got married a couple of months ago, but he's wasted no time in taking advantage of one of the main political advantages of marriage – insulation from controversal political donations. Looks like Ford's bride, Emily Threlkeld Ford, has maxed out contributions to Nikki Tinker, the primary opponent of 9th district Congressman Steve Cohen. That gives Ford the opportunity to say it was only his wife acting independently should the donation go south and Cohen get more popular. Among the other eye-raising contributions tallied by Tinker is a $5,000 one from the Congressional Black Caucus. That's the caucus the white Cohen tried to join – and was rejected – upon becoming a US Congressman.

Now looking at him I know somewhere along the line their was so visiting going on somewhere, but to claim your grandmother is white to try and win an election should have opened the eyes of all those black folks who forgot about his votes against their interest and in favor of his corporate masters. Even if they let all of that slide when he intimated to these folks to vote for him because he was one of them should have really shown the Black community in Tennessee what he really thought of them.

Not only is he delusional, he is dangerous and the Black folks of Tennessee should count that blessings that in this case when white folks thought they were hurting Black folks, they did them a huge favor.

HFJ is nothing more than a played out pimp who had no where else to go and ends up with a group of apologist, weak-kneeded Democrats who could care less about Black folks.

Harold's preference for Snowflakes cost him that Senate seat back in 2006. In fact, he kept the fact he was dating his wife hidden from voters because he knew with Tennessee's background in racial relations, he wouldn't get elected dog catcher with a white woman on his arm. It was the reason Bob Corker ran that “Harold, call me!” ad that tanked Ford's chances, period.

When he married Emily Threlkeld, I thought he was exiting politics for good. The fact that he thinks he can win the governorship after demonstrating his “leadership” ability and trashing his status as “rising star” in the Democratic Party, shows everyone and their mother how damned delusional he really is.

When Barack Obama stole that star from him, he should have gotten the message, only he's too dumb to learn how to interpret what is plain to everyone else with the common sense God gave them.

I 've been doing my part. Anytime I see Dark Sith mentioned on 'other' blogs, I send them to Skeptical Brotha and tell them to put him in the search engine to get an education.
