So what if some black people want to use the “N” word. That's none of her business, just as long as she doesn't use it…because of the history. Her opposition is that blacks are perceived to have a privilege that she doesn't have. There is no joy or privilege in the “N” word. Really, what is she saying, that because some blacks say it, that changes her position on not saying it herself?

Sometimes it seems AA's are saying: I'm gonna use it, but don't you dare use it cause it's my word now and I'll kick your ass if you dare. How do you like them there apples?

And as much as Elizabeth annoys me, especially the crying, she had a good point. To move forward, people need to abandon aspects of the past and that includes the use of the word.

But on the other hand, the use of the word can be very powerful in certain contexts, i.e. Chris Rock's stand up about Black people being racists. So, the issue is very complicated.

We can say the use of the word is wrong and tell Karmi to kiss our asses at the same time.

He could care less about Elisabeth or race relations and probably uses the word himself.

I have debated and will continue to debate this issue with people of color. It is the most b.a.c.k.w.a.r.d.s behavior I have ever witnessed.

While making statements against whites and Asians, it promotes a poor self-image among blacks, and describes the black man as a helpless victim of forces and people beyond his control. Black theology calls for political liberation instead of spiritual salvation. Wright wrote: “There will be no peace in America until whites begin to hate their whiteness, asking from the depths of their being: 'How can we become black?'”

Under “Black Theology Quotes” – “It is important to make a further distinction here among black hatred, black racism, and Black Power. Black hatred is the black man's strong aversion to white society. No black man living in white America can escape it…But the charge of black racism cannot be reconciled with the facts. While it is true that blacks do hate whites, black hatred is not racism.

I hate the use of that word…I don't understand the idea of it being a term of endearment. But, for whites to throw it back in our faces and say that if we say it, then so can they….is absurd. For the first time, I see Whoopi as being strong and sure in her position.

They are so excited to have her writing in. However, there were about 2 tasteless comments, out of more than 70…not bad. One commenter wrote that someone should monitor the site for abusive comments because Michelle is a wonderful woman and should not be disrespected. in any way; it would be completely unacceptable if they did. The site is no place for cheap shots at the potential First Lady.

You have decided to engage yourself in a loser's argument. It is an argument that you can never hope to win, in it you will never triumph. You will not be congratulated, nor will you feel good about yourself. You will only be forced into more outlandish rationalizations and argue yourself right out of fellowship with the rest of humanity.

I am amazed by the white supremacists who pose arguments to me that essentially say that I am inferior. I am amused that they think they can convince me. It takes a certain kind on mental illness to be so…dense. So, I kick their asses in debate….and they keep coming back for more. I think they enjoy being slapped around by a black woman.
