I’m not sure if anyone else caught this, but . . .

I’m watching Morning Joe and they show a McCain ad attacking Obama for his decision to opt out of public financing. It was a pretty standard ad, not much surprise there.

But the music in the background had kind of a hip hop beat to it. Now, I’m not going to say that it’s intentional (it’s the first ad that I’ve noticed). But pay attention to the music the next time you see the ad. Music can say just as much as the words that are spoken over it.

Ever notice how a Burger King commercial always sounds different on BET as opposed to NBC? McCain’s ad was a little like that. Again, not saying it’s intentional, but it’s just something that caught my attention.

Heres the ad.

Ever since the primaries ive kept my head on a swivel for stuff like this. I honestly dont want to assume that the position the McCain camp is taking is look at the Hip Hop Canidate, but you do bring up a point in your analysis. I think im going to reserve judgement until the next ad comes out. I wont lie, I missed that, point until you mentioned it.

Did anyone else catch Roland on CNN talking about Faith and Politics with AC. Great segment. I dont think the Religous vote is a clear win for the GOP anymore. Roland made mention of how the evangelical vote is much more then Abortion or Gay Rights. I couldnt agree more. Poverty, AIDS, teen pregnancy are all topics I know that are being tackled at churches down here in SA and Houston. I Woudlve never imagined a Dem. making a serious threat to this vote, until now.

If anyone missed it last night (like i did) you can catch highlites of BET’S award show here. I dont watch BET eva, but I will say this, Alica Keyes, SWV, TLC, and EnVogue on the same stage at the same time is worth catching.

Anything coming from a Right Wing Radio Host, like Bill Bennett is, will probably sound exactly like the article you just posted. Thats really no different then posting a link from Sean Hannity. Or, one of us posting a list from Ed Schultz about McCain

I heard Bill Bennett run that list down fresh off the presses yesterday on my way to work. He sounds just like the other tools Hannity, Ingraham (though shes not on at the moment) Limbaugh etc.

Dr. Dobson Has Just Handed Obama Victory…

As a result of his power grabs and bullying of other evangelicals, not to mention his telling people how to vote and pointing them to the failed W, Dobson & Co. have zero credibility with a growing number of otherwise conservative evangelicals who happen–this year–to be looking favorably at Senator Obama’s holistic Christian-based world view. Unlike Dobson they like Obama’s theology just fine.

Its all about your POV. I would argure that all the RIGHT sees is there oposition against his views.

Being down here in SATX, I here those talking points so often, that ive become immune to them. I dont think anything on that list is a FAIR assesment of Baracks views.

Does anyone get a completely fair assessment any more?

If you take out the connections issue-though, it’s getting harder and harder to ignore that, with new people popping up every day-the rest of it is based on things he’s said/written.

It’s “Uncle Barack’s Cabin” all over again.

I dare someone to suggest boycotting Japanese goods over this. Go ahead.

Is it really fair to hold other nations’ lack of understanding about our sensibilities against them?

The Japanese know exactly what they’re doing.

They have no lack of sensibility to racist images of Black people.

Why would anyone think otherwise?

I understand that Bill Clinton (and Hillary) feels hurt for being hit with the racism accusations, but he needs to take responsibility for his actions, which I don’t see him doing. He and Hillary need to realize their racism of low expectations is why Barack Obama caught them with their pants down, not Obama playing the race card, not Obama diminishing his 8 years in office (he squandered 4 of the 8 messing with Monica), not black people ditching them in their time of need.

I don’t see Bill or Hillary Clinton sitting down and really wrapping their minds around what they did and realizing what they did was wrong. Neither one of them seems capable of saying “I messed up, I’m sorry.” Neither one of them seems capable of taking responsibility for their actions.

I was there lol…I’m headin back to New York today. I hate BET but I had to go to the show.

That performance was the best part. I loved it.
