CONTEXT PLEASE. The whole statement hinges on it, Karmi. Do you have more than just that quote?

What does Wright mean, in the CONTEXT of his complete statement (wherever it comes from) when he says Whites should ask: HOW CAN WE BECOME BLACK?

Is that some John Howard Griffth stuff? Surely not. So, obviously, the language is FIGURATIVE and you apparently don’t know what’s prejudiced there or otherwise offensive because you didn’t point anything out.

There was no “whites are lazy”, “welfare dependent” type statement. We know that people typically say “THERE WILL BE NO PEACE” when there is “NO JUSTICE.” How the hell does that REMIND you of White Supremacists/KKK?

Simply, it does not. You know it. I know it. But allow me to clarify, since we know that the statement, again, hinges on the “THERE WILL BE NO PEACE” clause.

You claimed the statement was “prejudiced” but (1) there is nothing “irrational” about insisting on JUSTICE and insisting that “THERE WILL BE NO PEACE” because of the lack of justice or whatever the clause was connected to (again, CONTEXT… where is it??).

Surely you’re not in kindergarten and feel like the mere mention of Black and Whiteness (do you even know what the term means/suggest??) equates to racism/prejudice.

You’ve failed to make the case as far as “irrational hostility” is concerned and you have NO ACTIONS perpetrated by Cone or Wright to speak of (where whole books and chapters in history record those of the KKK). So let’s move towards the “supposed characteristics.”

Okay. What are they?

Unlike the KKK et al there was no “whites are lazy”, “prone to violence” type of prejudice there where the simple sight of someone White evokes those emotions. No. Wright said “THERE WILL BE NO PEACE” and talking about WHITENESS is not about some supposed genetic characteristic. One of those things the KKK et al are known for.

Wright is not encouraging so-called White people to hate the color of their skin or some physical characteristic typical of Whites. I know that. You know that and if you don’t, you’re dumber than I thought.

So what is the issue there for you, Karmi?

Wright says “there will be no peace” until Whites hate what?? What is WHITENESS, Karmi? What does Wright mean by the term? Again, no one with a brain could ever think he’s demanding Whites tan daily to change their skin color. So where is the prejudiced?

There is (1) no “irrational hostility” (none that you can show) and (2) nothing directed at the type of genetic predisposition or even some assumption/assertion that Whites have a flawed, inferior culture — i.e. the type of rhetoric that has always been a component parts of the “hate” espoused by the KKK, etc.

But since you claim (and it’s a bogus claim) that those statements REMIND you of the KKK, etc.

Let’s go… Let’s see you show a SIDE-BY-SIDE comparison complete with the history of WORDS +/- ACTIONS *and* pinpointing the exact things said that DISCRIMINATES in that same historical sense of the word that gives the term the ACTION observed meaning that says such “hate” can’t be tolerated because of the ACTIONS that followed it.

Again, where are the ACTIONS, Karmi?

And note how you haven’t shown how either Wright or Cones statements show “hatred” towards some other race.

Cone said “black hatred” is against “white society”. SOCIETY. White society. The society we associate with race-slavery. The society we associate with Jim Crow. The society we associate with KKK lynchings and church fires.

Tell me, at what point where Cone/Wright supposed to “LOVE” that society? or tolerate the RACIAL INJUSTICE that occurs in that society? Why on earth would they not “hate” it?

The comparison isn’t there because THE ACTIONS don’t match. The “hostility” isn’t comparable either. In fact, the “hostility” voiced by Wright/Cone has to do with society. That’s not pre-judgment.

You pointed to no derogatory assumption Wright/Cone made about someone White, e.g., based on their skin color or other genetic characteristics. That’s the “hate” that the KKK et al spout — i.e. race-based derogatory assumptions.

There is a double standard. I know why its like that however I dont have to be ok with it.

No one is asking for Obama to be “black power”. He is not and he has shown not an inclination of even being in reality in regards to race relations. I never expected that from him. He is running for the president of the establishment…hello. I voted for him in February and I will in November.

However black people don’t have to shut up and talk the junk that I am hearing them talking. I have come to realize why blacks have made so little progress in the last few decades. I have no problem with bringing up things of concern to me as a black man in America as I would with any politican.

Black hatred is the black man’s strong aversion to white society. No black man living in white America can escape it…But the charge of black racism cannot be reconciled with the facts. While it is true that blacks do hate whites, black hatred is not racism. Enough said…

Here’s a really simple challenge for you, should you accept this mission:

(1) Define racism AND what makes said “racism” worthy of your disdain — i.e. how are you or anyone harmed by it. I mean, snakes are horrible but snakes with no fangs/venom or snakes that don’t bite (whether actually snakes are not)… are they worth reviling?

So, yes. It’s put up or SHUT UP time. What makes Trinity or Black Liberation Theory “racist” as opposed to a mere venom-less, fangless “snake.”

(2) “Black Hatred” = what is being hated and WHY? Notice I didn’t say who because you won’t be able to support any such theories.
