I know McCain has gone neocon and a bit crazy lately, but I’m optimistic that he won’t run a racist campaign.

Assuming the Clintons don’t take center stage in the news again, I think race will become less important as an issue.

Of course, the issue of race will always be there. There will always be Mark Fuhrman – Pat Buchanan types out there.

Obama has been an example to all of us that what unites us is greater than what divides us. So I like to think that with the Clintons fading away, we’ve seen the worst of “race nastiness” in the 2008 campaign.

Wasn’t there an uproar some time back when Native American students didn’t like the school mascot being a Native American, and the white people in town decided to create their own team called the “Fighting Whiteys?”

As everyone here as mentioned, “whitey” is a term black characters written by white writers use. Black people in real life do not say “whitey.”

The book the hoax was lifted from had the white writer writing the black characters as sitting in a back room telling each other they were going to “get whitey.”

No black person outside of George Jefferson and Fred Sanford calls white people “whitey.” LOL

Hearing it today, it sounds more funny than derisive, which I think even then was intentional. The term is funny, which is why all this hype is making ME laugh.

1969, y’all. And I wasn’t quite eight years old, but, then again, I didn’t need to be old enough to know who he meant – then he got admonished by my grandmother for using the term in front of me, LOL.

I call BS on the whole “Whiteygate” scandal. It only means the ReThugs have no real dog to hunt in this race, and they’re mad as hell about it.

The more we point out and challenge their attacks; the more we call BS on attacking Michelle Obama because they can’t get to Barack – we flush them out of hiding and like roaches, we STOMP them into oblivion.
