You may be right in everything you are saying about Cheney, buuuuttttttt,

West Virginians will vote for the John McCain in the general election. Cheney has only stated what he and is ilk in the Republican Party feel about these poor, illiterate people; to be used for a vote then forgotten about. Only until these people realize that they have/and are being used will it change.

It's a sad reality but true. They will vote against their own self-interest because a white man can offend them all day long, as long as they keep that Black man out of office.

It didn’t really happen because the media didn’t cover it.

Sure, a Democrat — esp Obama — would be treated differently had he said something so idiotic, but you must understand: Cheney is no elitist. That’s the difference right there. No matter what he says, it’s not an elitism and therefore all is forgiven.

Can you really compare a lame joke that is in poor taste to an incorrect ideological sentiment that is prevalent in the Democrat party?

The problem with Obama's gaffe isn't that he worded his assertion poorly. The problem is he believes what he is saying about a large number of Americans.
