What are you talking about? The point is that not only is he not seeking to hide behind those outside groups that would “help” him by engaging in the worst sort of negative campaigning, he’s trying to defund them so the are’t able to “help” him. That is definitely different.

As for press bias, well, yes, it tends to favor Democrats.

Michelle will seek publicity and generate controversy. She will obtain press coverage, but undoubtedly her outspokenness will backfire again in the campaign. But it will matter far more when she strikes against McCain instead of other Democrats.

I don’t think “party loyalty” has anything to do with it. We all know why Michelle is being hit and Cindy ain’t. Michelle and Barack know why, John and Cindy know why, and the media knows why.

It’s only the media and white folks that are pretending not to know why, just as they pretend not to understand why Barack can’t capture the redneck, hardworking white people of WV, OH, PA…

And if you wanna know the real deal on Michelle Obama, it is this: Michelle Obama is a dark brown, thin, attractive, well put together woman who isn’t cheesing and grinning and shucking and jiving. And they don’t like that.

Now, if Michelle were fat, jolly and grinning all the time like Sherri Shepherd, I doubt seriously she’d be painted as the “angry racist black woman.”

Ms. Martin made an excellent point re: the different way Chelsea has been treated. The media (and the right) were on her side when they easily could/should called her a snot. Michelle could have never been that rude to a questioner. In fact, the whole fallout re: Rev. Wright at the NPC revolved around how he gave the middle finger to them stupid-azz questions he was asked.

Unlike Chelsea’s questioner, the stuff Rev. Wright was asked never came from a SUPPORTER of Rev. Wright and we all know Michelle nor Barack could ever think they could say not only am I going to tailor the audience to my liking but never could they ever get away with setting preconditions on what questions will and won’t be entertained.

White folks (racist language according to…) feel like any and every question they have, no matter how stupid, how irrelevant, how Guilt-By-Irrelevant-Association-ish must be answered.

Speaking of that (and thinking of the racist idea that Barack, a Black man, has to answer for and denounce any Black boogeyman (read: Farrakhan) on demand), I heard John McCain has had a relationship/association with John Hagee for several years, William Ayers like, from their membership or involvement with AIPAC.

The more important question is “What makes Cindy McCain so special?”

They’ve been laying off Cindy McCain and tip toeing around her, and I know diggitydamn well if Michelle had done half the stuff Cindy did, Hannity & ‘Em would be grinding Michelle down in the ground. Rev. Wright would look like a trip to the tot lot.

Yes, Teresa was hit. Michelle is being hit. Hillary was hit. Cindy ain’t special and she needs to take some hits too, especially if they continue going after Michelle and especially since Cindy inserted herself into the mix by saying “I’on know ’bout you, but…”

(I’m on record for saying I could not forgive him for not doing what he’s done now as soon as they started this mess with Michelle Obama.)
