After Iowa, the TV people predicted that Hillary would play the race card. Of course, she played the race card, and she (and her surrogates, like this Blumenthal character) are still playing the race card.

Obama keeps trying to rise above race, and the Clintons keep dragging him back down into the mud. I look forward to the day, perhaps in June, when Barack has selected a running mate we can all be proud of, and the Clintons GO AWAY.

No more George W. Bush, no more Clintons!

Whether or not he supports Clinton, I would guess that his concern about race and racism might also come from his own journalistic “expertise” on the issue — like, I saw him do a talk once on white supremacy in the anti-immigrant movement ranks.

I say expertise in quotes because I an kind of grossed out when other white people come at the Obama thing from a “Obama as race traiter” approach because it feels off to me in most cases — feels like a detached pose, a weird intellectual attempt at expert radicalism, or something like that. And it may not matter if Max is coming from there or a pro-Clinton approach if that’s what he’s saying.

It’s just really weird to think he might be a Clinton supporter. I knew about his father (who I haven’t met) but I didn’t assume it translated to Max.
