It was unbelievable, she even said Obama was playing the race card when Obama said let’s make history. She said he was speaking to black Americans.

Yes, in these circumstances it is worth the consequences to invade. But, it would be done by the U.N., not the USA.

I’m not suggesting-at least not in this forum-that we physically go to war with Myanmar.

All I’m asking is if getting their people aid is worth the consequences-whatever they may be-of violating their sovereignty (sp?).

There would not be a need for a ground military action. So what is your point? In addition the U.N. and world would support us in this decision because the reason and cause is quite transparent for going there. It’s to save lives…people that are dying right before our eyes.

However the American Government obviously doesn’t have a good track record with that in their own country.

Yes, Iraq IS different (as you stated). As different as the fourth reason given to the American people as to why we went to war with them.

At the same time

If the U.S. won’t go by the same principle with the Sudan (and in the past Rwanda), then the same applies in Myanmar.

You can’t pick and choose what invasions you feel are worthy in the name of liberating people from tyranny.
