Though I'd rather not call Sen. John McCain out of his name, this kind of blatant lying is McLame:

That, "my friends", is Johnnie's Budlight moment. BS like that should only be dignified by: DUDE (rolleyes)

But, since there are legions of Kevin James in the world, I guess the best approach is to come up with snazzy YouTube with "DUDE" mixed in with Johnnie's lie and Obama's stump-line scratched in:

Funny thing about it, Obama used that line on CNN in the very same segment where he said McCain was "losing his bearing."

Bush should take note, too. In this same segment, Obama answered Wolf Blitzer's question, "What does Israel mean to you?"

rikyrah, Cafferty called Huckabee an "idiot" for his Obama assasination joke. Then Jeff Toobin protested and lectured Jack about calling Huck an idiot for what was little more than a bad joke in Toobin's mind.

After Jeff finished chastising Cafferty for calling Huck an idiot and Wolf was trying to move on, Cafferty interrupted and said Wolf let me say this another way because of a poor choice of words, then Cafferty says "Huckabee is an idiot". LOL

Cafferty repeated his original opinion and Toobin got pissier and Cafferty basically gives him his backside to kiss because Cafferty thinks there is no excuse for what Huckabee said.

Then Lou and Wolf said they agreed with Toobin that Huck is not an idiot for making a little joke.

Yes, rhonda I heard earlier this afternoon. I tried not to think about it for awhile. I think I purposely even avoided cable news for a couple of hours. I just happen to just now be flicking through and see “breaking news” that Huckabee issues an apology to Obama. Then all of a sudden I start crying and am back here to get comfort from the JJ community. I am crying because I try to remain hopeful and not let fear overwhelm me. I will NOT let them win!

Has anybody, I'm probably late, heard what Huckabee had to say about Obama, how bizarre and offensive?

From everything that I am seeing and hearing from Bush, McCain, Huckabee, the low attacks from the GOP in some states, it is clear to me that they are losing their collective minds.

The age of "republicanism" is finished...they are losing seats in congress. They know that and they are deseperate.

I havent been here in a while. I have been so busy will finals.

Good grief. Edwards has been all over the TV and papers for the last three days. He is giving yet another interview in CNN’s situation room in a few minutes. I wonder if he has anytime to take his special arse to Kentucky, considering he can find time to put his mug all over the media. Time for interviews but not much for getting on the trail I suppose.

“[W]henever I think about the quarter billion dollars he has raised so far, the image that leaps to mind is Scrooge McDuck diving joyously into his piles of gold,” he writes.

But in our final installment of the big -- yet underappreciated -- turning points in the Obama-Clinton, we remind you about this: It was Clinton, not Obama, who had the fundraising edge heading into the 2008 contests.

At the end of last year, Clinton had nearly $38 million cash on hand. And although that amount included the $10 million transfer from her Senate campaign account, as well as lots of money that could only be used in the general election, it eclipsed Obama’s $18.6 in the bank.

But once we entered the New Year, the rest was history: Obama went on to raise a million (or more) a day, while Clinton, although still raising plenty of money, ran out of cash and is now more than $20 million in debt.

This turning point -- when Clinton went from money leader to being essentially broke -- can’t be overstated.

And it’s also worth noting that this is the second-straight cycle that the candidate who raised the most money heading into the nominating contests (Howard Dean won that honor in ’03) will probably not be the nominee.
