Within days, someone has set up this website, and it’s reached the front page of Digg. Talk about rapid response. Not from a campaign, but from a citizen.
i know i'm bitter...and cynical. don't know if i'm resilient. i know one thing, although barack is STILL a politician, he gives me HOPE and encourages me to believe in a new type of politics. he's damn right. there are alot of folks out here that think the gov't is out of touch, late to respond, prejudice and backward thinking. the things we need don't seem to trickle down after we pledge our votes to the promise makers.
being mad is not a criticism, its a dead on asessment of the way SOME people feel (including me).
Look at this YouTube video of a McCain supporter on Fox News. The reporter is asking him if he thinks Pennsylvanians are bitter and she doesn't quite get the answer she was expecting:)
thanks rhondacoca, my apologies to Christopher Chambers

On the contrary, I think my remarks are very simple and to the point and boil the problems down nicely.
Angela what can you offer beyond acrimony and excuses. I think Axelrod should hire Carville. Carville can then call himself a Judas and then get to work re-casting barack in a way that leads to victory. Things now...I'm not so sure...

To anon -
There is no Pacific Heights, CA. It's a neighborhood in the city of San Francisco where I live. If you're going to disagree could you at least post something that is close to being relevant and accurate to make your counterpoint? And since you've mentioned the bible - yes we are urged to love God above anything else and love our neighbors as ourselves. The thing is people don't always do that. This country measures a person's worth in their material status and income. The whole American dream manifesto. Not every person in this country is going to have the house with white picket fence, an {American} car, 2.5 kids, the stay-at-home wife and vacation. Some people in power decided that they wanted say 100 of those homes at the expense of others. Gas is $4.39/gallon here, but as bad as that may be Europeans always paid 5 times what the US paid. We got a great bargain at the expense of others but nobody complained about it then. The oil companies are making their biggest profits ever. The CEO of Bear Sterns got to walk away with $400 million in compensation and no criminal prosecution. This is history repeating itself from the S&L; scandals of the 80's. Do you know about the Keating 5? Do you think Clinton or McCain are going to offer a real solution or do you just want to complain? There are entire populations in cities that were in financial dire straits when the Clintons were in office. When unemployment rates are discussed only the new filings are counted not the people who were already receiving benefits. If the true rate was published it would be surprising. Obama is addressing the core problems, the disease. Some don't like that he's said it, some don't like the way he said, some don't like that he, the Uppity Negro understands just how profoundly the masses have been getting screwed over by the few and is shining light on the cockroaches. It's called DISTRACTION. And if you fail to see the BIG picture and want to be caught up in semantics then you are probably one of those people that voted for the politicians and policies that are now hurting you because you let them manipulate you with hot-button issues [gay marriage, reverse discrimination, etc]. They were patting you on the back with one hand and shoving a knife in with the other. And you're only noticing the bleeding.

That site is perfect. "Right On, Right On."
...and dayum skippy, I am BITTER too. When I went to the pump and paid $3.35 for regular gas this morning and it isn't even summertime yet, i'm a bitter *&*&*.
...and for anon@7:08: If you think that Bill Clinton was such a "darn" good president in spite of the aftermath of his baby--NAFTA, then you're really delusional and you deserve to have Hillary as your president...you apparently prefer LIES over reality.
I prefer the TRUTH...Go *O* 2008.

He never thought these remarks would get out to the masses and they wouldn't have, had it not been for someone who was there with a pocket recorder.
Oh please IDIOT. All of these private functions are recorded by someone - starting with the candidate's campaign.
He didn't say anything to be ashamed of and his rebuttal is a great illustration of that.
You and your ilk that miss the good old days of drinking from Whites Only water fountains would never vote for Obama anyway. He is your worst nightmare come true and spamming pro-Obama sites won't change that.

Obama made these remarks at a San Francisco Oil Billionaire's Mansion during a private Fund raiser in Pacific Heights CA, why did he wait until he was among The Rich Billionaire's to say this? Why not say it when he was here in PA, amongst us Small Town Midwesterners? Why?...because he never intended for the people of Pennsylvania to hear it, He never thought these remarks would get out to the masses and they wouldn't have, had it not been for someone who was there with a pocket recorder.
I don't know of anyone who's been out of work for the past 25 years and if we were, we wouldn't just sit around being bitter and as I recall, our economy and availability of jobs, was pretty darn good when Bill Clinton was President. Of course people get "frustrated" when there's a lack of work/jobs, but to say we cling to our guns and religion because of it, shows he has no clue. Economics, plays no part in it. We have our guns because we are law abiding citizens, because it's our Constitutional Rights and most of the people I know who own guns hunt and have done so throughout generations. We cling to our religion out of FAITH in good and bad times, not because we are bitter and radical, which is more than I can say for the Church OBAMA chose to go to. He stated we turn against those who are not like us, that we're anti-immigrant. Again, see Obama's church. We are not anti-immigrant,America is a country made up of immigrants, here we practice "Love Thy Neighbor". There are those that oppose illegal immigration and if Obama claimed to know as much as he does and in touch, he'd know this is not just feelings that come from jobless, small town Midwesterners, this is a sentiment that's voiced across America, by people from all economic backgrounds. Obama is clearly out of touch not just with those of us here in the Midwest, but apparently all of America.

I told you from the start. I love Barack. But he is a lightweight. He doesn't understand the bareknuckle stupidity of the media and pundit machine. period.
