I don’t think Rev. Cleaver and others like him would have been irrelevant had they chose to work with Obama.

At some point in their careers, the goals were the same as Obama’s; however, somewhere along the way they sold out to the belief that things can’t be changed. Fortunately, Obama believes that things can be changed and he hasn’t given up.

They bet wrong, and now it’s biting many of them in the ass.

Amen. I agree. I do believe their wrong choice isn’t in choosing Hillary, it’s in what you’ve described as ‘slamming Obama relentlessly and unfairly’. That was their choice, and it was the true wrong choice. Instead of building up their woman, they chose to tear down Obama.

Some f%%%nut at John In Carolina Blog suggested Hillary should endorse reparations and that will send blacks in droves back to her!

The idiots act like The Clintons are entitled to the black vote! Like blacks have committed a terrible sin for abandoning St.Hillary! F%%% her!

What’s sad is that the only way they’ve been able to express their feelings is through the bitter and (obviously) jealous comments.

And yet, once again, this is how the Clintons express their regard for Black communities.

Could it be possible? Yes, it could.

But, that doesn’t excuse Congressman Cleaver and the other Lamb Chop’s Sing Along leaders…mantanning, and steppin and fetchin for the crumbs of the establishment.

I simply dismiss him, and believe we are the force to snatch the torch from these relics.

I was shocked when I first heard him speak about the CBC members being threatened and further statements he has made. He really doesn’t seem real when he’s speaking.

I would like to know why he and Claire McCaskill are opposites in their support. Why doesn’t McCaskill support Clinton?

Claire McCaskill was the prosecutor of Jackson County, Kansas City, Missouri during the period that Emanuel Cleaver was the was the Mayor of Kansas City.

And Claire’s a girl.

I sure hope no matter what that every one of these token blacks who love ‘dem’ some Clinton’s will be voted out of office, mainly for making their constituents look like they have no clue as to who and why they are voting for these hot messes.

What Cleaver was very open and honest about is that a lot of these early black Clinton supporters chose her out of simple loyalty. They didn’t know Obama, but they also didn’t BOTHER to get to know him before making their judgments.

Clinton was the safe bet. She’s married to Bill. It was easy. Now many of them are in an awkard position.

Where many have messed up is in slamming Obama relentlessly and unfairly. Or they go out and promote Hillary based on weak arguments. It’s their only choice, though. They had no strong arguments FOR her other than the fact that they “knew” her and she was the safe bet.

They bet wrong, and now it’s biting many of them in the ass.

feel free to update your post with all or some of my comments. I think it’s important to provide folks a link to the full interview though. Cleaver isn’t a simple HRC supporter slamming Obama. He sounded more honest than many black Clinton supporters I’ve heard.
