The bible supports war. In addition to being about oil, the Iraqi occupation is also about religion. It was an easy target in the sense that it’s army was virtually non-existent and it’s Muslim population cowed by a dictator and economic sanctions. What better Muslim country to occupy than Iraq?

Evangelicals support the war based on Judeo-Christian, anti-Muslim beliefs. They are trying to bring about so-called end time events.

Where were all the white pastors who did not speak out against the Iraq war? Who did not speak out against Abu Ghraib?

I realize that some white pastors did speak out against these evils, but many conservative evangelical pastors said nothing. They should have been shouting from the top of their lungs.

These pastors have more to answer for than Rev Wright ever will.

They are hardly ‘ radical’. That’s my point. They have to don the ‘outsider’ role to be effective. They are very mainstream in Chicago. Don’t you get the theme yet: Meeks runs probably the LARGEST church…Wright runs a MEGACHURCH….Pfleger runs the LARGEST Black Catholic Church not only in the city, but one of the largest in the COUNTRY….How are these folks ‘ radical’. By the very nature of their success – they are mainstream.

They get things done.

It never occurred to me that those white fans had the audacity to go to the South Side to commit crimes against the black residents living near the ballpark. It’s as though the whites used baseball games as an excuse to exercise their brutal racist urges. Horrible.

Preachers who rail against homosexuals and abortion and great whores of Babylon. Polygamist cults. Mormonism. Fox News. Republican ideology, tax cuts for all. Vilifying of Universal Health care. Struggles over whether to elect a woman or black man while the rest of the world has moved on..long ago. Rejection of science and evolution.

It is impossible to exist in America without crossing paths with nutjobs. It is whether you believe you own mythology instead of the reality.
