The fact that Obama talks differently than Jeremiah Wright does not mean that his track record is different. Barack Obama’s voting record in the Senate is perfectly consistent with the far-left ideology and the grievance culture, just as his wife’s statement that she was never proud of her country before is consistent with that ideology.

Senator Barack Obama’s political success thus far has been a blow for equality. But equality has its down side.

Equality means that a black demagogue who has been exposed as a phony deserves exactly the same treatment as a white demagogue who has been exposed as a phony.

We don’t need a president of the United States who got to the White House by talking one way, voting a very different way in the Senate, and who for 20 years followed a man whose words and deeds contradict Obama’s carefully crafted election-year image.

Hey, at least we get to see the spectacle of the Left suddenly defending religion. That Mitt Romney’s church used to not allow blacks to be ministers proved that Romney was a de facto racist but now they argue Obama’s close personal friend and mentor’s hateful racist anti-Semitic ranting mean nothing?

This article in some ways speaks to a generational difference in the way we look at race.

As Professor Kim's article points out, younger generations have been taught all to well about the sins of our white european forefathers and we all have a story of prejudice or oppression towards or emanating from our own ancestry. No one is immune from 'man's inhumanity to man.'

Yet, how do we process this information and how do we use it to shape the future? Will whites ever be free of the guilt when we are reminded so frequently of our past sins? On Sunday after Sunday, are blacks really being told that things are no better for them now? That the deck is stacked against them by rich whites? Until we are able to forgive our past, we cannot move forward.
