My head hurts! How is any good going to come to this country when people allow this type of crookedness to occur? I had an easy non-chaotic voting experience in San Francisco. Obama actually won this area. Do we need people with video camera at every polling place? How can we monitor things? I'd be happy to volunteer for that.

"Six months after Deukmajian takes office, some boxes came floating up in the San Francisco Bay. Upon inspection, it was discovered that they were ballots from the Gubernatoral election. They were uncounted and there were about 100K uncounted ballots. 75% of the uncounted ballots were cast for Tom Bradley."

Well, that gives new meaning to the Bradley factor.

I remained amazed how the national media avoids discussing these local voter fraud issues.

Dumping ballots out in Cali is the way to go. It's the only explanation why Obama didn't win there.

In 1988, LA Mayor Tom Bradley was running for Governor against George Deukmajian, and lost by 50K votes.

He demanded and got a recount. Still declared Deukmajian the winner by 50K votes.

Six months after Deukmajian takes office, some boxes came floating up in the San Francisco Bay. They were uncounted and there were about 100K uncounted ballots. 75% of the uncounted ballots were cast for Tom Bradley.

If those ballots make it to the precinct, California would have been the first state to have a Black Governor.

Anything's possible, and I wouldn't put it past the Borg Queen with her scorched earth campaign politics.

I think if the Democratic Party is not careful, it is going to implode. There has been widespread irregularities in so many states that it is either being done intentionally or we have not learned any lessons from the last elections that were handed to George Bush as a gift. I hate to say it, but if the party does not get its act together, John McCain will sadly be the next President, essentially extending George Bush's term, so to speak.

www.blackpoliticalthought.com

I live in Ohio and Tuesday was definitely not the same as the 2004 election. There were not voter suppression activities from the top of the house. We have a much less partial Secretary of State now that has won court battles to ensure several methods of voting are available such as absentee voting without a specific reason, early voting in person, and paper ballots in addition to electronic voting.

Now, this is not to say voter suppression could not happen at the local level. I don't live in Cleveland, so I can't speak to local political dynamics.

PA is hugely important!

This morning from the Washington Post:
"Obama's argument that superdelegates should automatically back the will of the voters -- and not use independent political judgment about who can best compete against Republican John McCain in November -- look like an awfully simplistic calculus.

Add up all the states he has won in his historic drive to become the nominee, including all of those small and deeply "red" Republican states where the Obama supporters boast of their candidate's transcendental appeal, and so far Obama has won in places representing 193 of the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency. Add up Clinton's victories thus far and she has triumphed in states representing 263 electoral votes."

"Obama, the leading candidate, still hasn't shown he has appeal in a large battleground state that will be pivotal in the fall. In this sense, Pennsylvania is where Obama's back, and not Clinton's, is up against the wall."

Look at what's coming next...

By NEDRA PICKLER

WASHINGTON (AP) - Officials in Michigan and Florida are showing renewed interest in holding repeat presidential nominating contests so that their votes will count in the epic Democratic campaign.

The Michigan governor, along with top officials in Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign and Florida's state party chair, are now saying they would consider holding a sort of do-over contest by June. That's a change from their previous insistence that the primaries their states held in January should determine how the their delegates are allocated.

Clinton won both contests, but the results were meaningless because the elections violated national party rules.

The Democratic National Committee stripped both states of all their delegates for holding the primaries too early, and all Democratic candidates - including Clinton and rival Barack Obama - agreed not to campaign in either state. Obama's name wasn't even on the Michigan ballot.

Florida and Michigan moved up their dates to protest the party's decision to allow Iowa and New Hampshire to go first, followed by South Carolina and Nevada, giving them a disproportionate influence on the presidential selection process.

But no one predicted the race would still be very close this late in the year.

Ironically, Michigan and Florida could have held crucial primaries if they had stayed with their traditional later dates. They may yet do so if they decide to hold new contests as Clinton and Obama compete to the wire.

Clinton has been insisting that the desires of more than 2 million people who cast Democratic ballots in the two states should be reflected at the convention, which would help her catch up to Obama in the race for convention delegates. Obama has said he wants to see the delegates from the two critical swing states participate, too, but not if Clinton is rewarded for victories in boycotted primaries.

Now the Clinton campaign has begun expressing openness to a do-over. "Let's let all of the voters go again if they are willing to do it," Clinton adviser Terry McAuliffe said Tuesday night on MSNBC. "Whatever we have to do to get people in the system, let's do it."

Also, forget about the delegate math, this is going to be about THE POPULAR VOTE. Obama needs to keep the lead in the popular vote...The Dems argued in FL 2000 that the POPULAR VOTE should have determined the outcome and Clinton will use that argument with the superdelegates if she overtakes Obama in the popular vote.

Obama's lead in the popular vote:
12,992,769 to Clinton's 12,406,998.

This total DOES NOT count MI & FL.

Obama will win the nomination IF he maintains a delegate AND popular vote lead. Hillary's only chance of stealing this is IF she overtakes Obama on the popular vote.

The theory at http://althouse.blogspot.com/2008/03/why-are-letters-nig-on-childs-pajamas.html is that the child's pajamas have "GOOD NIGHT" written on them... and somehow Hillary's Red Phone Ad happens to show the letters NIG.

Apologies if this is only my paranoia talking. But look at the pictures and make up your own minds.

(P.S. I admit I'm sucked into the negativity like everyone else...)

I feel like Dorothy watching Toto pull a certain curtain.

i don't know what to say. Now i'm gonna go back to read Sabra's Articles on who really was behind NaftaGate over at DU, and ponder why anyone -- anywhere -- is still a Clinton supporter.

and thank you to arthousequeen for laying it down with a ground report. i hope it's being reported to an authority.

i also hope whoever is responsible for stealing the votes of the elderly african-americans of Houston by returning early ballots in their name through fraudulant means, as reported last night, is brought to justice.
