Given the symbolism and challenges to Senator Obama's run for office, I still ain't figured out why many of our political folk can't put their dumb shit on hold, even for a minute.

Seriously, yo!

I'm reminded of a rather colorful expression used by my feisty 97 year-old grandmother: that things should be so quiet (and I am directing this to our folk on both sides of the aisle) the only thing we should be able to hear is "a mouse peeing on cotton."

Triflin', indeed!

Ahhh, Black Republicans. Don't you want to be one. After all, they are the cream of the Black crop, self-made people who only interest is keeping those mind-challenged Black folks out of the Republican party.

I mean, what would they do if a lot of Black folks begin joining the Republican party, they would have to find some other place to go to ingratiate themselves to their masters so they would continue to have somebody to look down on as their masters gave them crumbs from the table for being the puppet for repeating the lines that they cannot say.

Can we think of any: Michael Steele, in Maryland who bused in homeless people from another STATE to try and deter Black folkds from voting in the right places, the idiot, Blackwell in Ohio who actually disenfranchised people who looked like him for his own self-interest, only to lose an election his masters assured him he would win because he had obeyed their every wish, only to be slapped in the face when those same disenfranchised black folks who looked liked him remembered what he had done, brother? Kindaliesarice, what more do you have to say, or the poster boy for self-hate Clarence Thomas, who has not been confronted by an issue brought before the Supreme Court where injustices of Black folks is not possible, the man was the sole vote against granting a retrial for a mentally retarded Black man in Texas. Sick, sick, sick. These are the types of Black folks, white folks love. All the justification in the world as to why they continue to support a party that would throw them under the bus and their mamas too and run over them time and time as it has it what is truly bizarre and scary.

These are the kinds of Black folks the Republicans love-handkerchief heads to the last, while they laugh at these self-hating, fools.

Just another trifling, nitwit who got a job he was not qualified for other than being one of those Black 'conservatives' who are not black in their minds, looking for that unicorn that the GOP has told them they will get when they trot them out to show how diverse the GOP is NOT, along with a white woman, like Thomas and Connerly both have, and, no offense to the white women who like this sort of self hating black man, just a fact, and, they are happy to bash any shade of black, and, do it with a smile and glee.

The one good thing is he won't get the Scooter Libby treatment by Bush/Cheney, if, convicted, under the JAIL, which is where he belongs.

How sick is this? Ward Connerly and Clarence Thomas were both Affirmative Action beneficiaries, and they both lead in trying to get Affirmative Action thrown out of courts and outlawed.

Now that's some sick crap right there, and the only thing you can chalk it up to are severe cases of Negro Self-Hatred - to the point they wish they were born White.

It's about time a Bush Administration official got taken down for crimes he perpetuated through his appointed office.

Being a Buscho is not helping Alphonso Jackson - he's going to find out that Bush "never knew" him, real fast. Serves him right, too, for treating the folks in N'awlens like he did.

My problem is why did it take so long for the Fibbies to catch up with him? They got Eliot Spitzer in 1/4 of the time it took them to get Jackson.

webb -

Great minds - I was about to write the same thing. I would take it one step further: the Alphonso Jacksons and Ward Connerlys are the twisted Republican version of poverty pimps. They decry and denounce people caught in the cycle of poverty, but have absolutely no problem lining up at the public trough to use funds designated to ameliorate conditions caused by poverty - in this case, building and maintaining safe and affordable housing - to gentrify economically depressed areas in enriching themselves and their compatriots.

Where do the Alphonso Jacksons, Ward Connerlys, and Clarence Thomases come from? They must convince themselves that their actions are for the "betterment" of their race. In the end, their actions hamper the progress of a people...set us all back.
