I just noticed that Black Agenda Report is doing a fundraiser, and I’m passing the hat. I had an opportunity to meet and do an on-camera interview with Bruce Dixon at the 2007 Yearly Kos convention (parts 1, 2 and 3). The site is worthwhile just for the CBC Monitor and the Ravaging of Africa series and these posts on Black-Latino relations.

While I don’t agree with everything they say and would often prefer if they weren’t so hard on Obama, I have read enough to have great respect for the work they are doing. In fact, legitimate criticism of Obama (no pledge of allegiance stuff ok?) forces me to dig deeper to justify my own support. To put it another way, I certainly don’t agree with everything CNN or MSNBC says, yet they get my attention on the regular and are making billions. I have given money to NPR and Apple Computer and the US government. If I can’t support my fellow black media outlet, something is wrong.

Independent media is critical (can’t help but plug Obama’s superior position on this), and independent black media must be preserved. As I’ve had the privilege to work with my fellow JJP writers, I’ve gotten an appreciation for just how hard it is to do this thing well. This could easily be a full time job. It takes time to research. It takes time to edit. It takes money to pay for the servers and recording equipment and phone lines.

If you truly value democracy, you value a diverse and independent media, and Black Agenda Report is among the best I’ve come across.

The Black Agenda report and its “pre-divorce” domestic partner “Black Commentator” have been attacking Barack Obama from day one.
While indeed Black Agenda report might be “independent” it certainly is not “non-biased” by any stretch of the imagination. While I do believe that Glen Ford is an intelligent man – I fail to see how his POLICIES are realistic nor how they would create a more INDEPENDENT and SELF-SUFFICIENT Black Community.
In fast most of his government policies depend on confiscating fund from the very corporations that he rails against so frequently. Just as the Tobacco settlement requires people to keep smoking or the funding will dry up so is the case…………

One of the things I stuggle with is the fact that I read and search for News across the spectrum. Even in your privious post about Hillary Clinton’s objection to the Obama campaign’s mass mailing “distorting” her agenda was and is considered a Violation of he Fair and Ethical Campaign Agreement that the candidates agreed to in the beginning.
That was and is a blatant Violation one when Obama publicly agreed to. And even if Obama appologizes, the damage is done.
For those who do not read or listen to alternative News Sources, they would see Clinton as being a B___ or crying foul or just Mad but in truth it is a legit complaint. When the public only get their News from a single source, its even harder to have a dialogue when you can introduce more info or a point of view. We need that more espcially with few people supporting the Black Press.
I love PBS,C-SPAN,NPR and the Foreign Press etc. Even BBC can get to the real news as well. But people will always give you a reason why they don’t READ more. This is why the SOUND BITE always win out over the News Article every time.

Both BAR and Black Commentator are LEFT WING instruments.
They attack Obama FROM THE LEFT. They call him “bought and sold” by CORPORATE INTERESTS. These are the same CORPORATE INTERESTS that he attacks all of the time.
Their “toughness” is on anyone who is to the RIGHT OF THEM. From where they stand this includes a broad swath of the political and commercial electorate.
I would like to see BAR and BC provide details to their readership about WHERE THEIR POLICES are in place anywhere around the world and how this country is making out as a result. I am not talking about lily White Nordic nations that practice Euro-socialism but have little diversity. I am speaking of a highly racially and religiously diverse society that provides more justice, economic opportunity and a better standard of living for people of color than the United States does.
We need to move away from ABSTRACT THEORY over toward PRACTICAL policies that achieve our racial goals.
As radical and revolutionary as BAR and BC sound – their policies turn Black people and everyone else as dependents upon the state with the government providing the solutions that SHOULD BE born by our culture and the constraints on our people there in – directing them toward a more productive outcome. They are not ORGANIC – they are GOVERNMENT REGULATORS and REDISTRIBUTIONALISTS.
To kill capitalism as they propose would be to starve their system of redistribution. They have an activist movement rather than a destination.

Jack, thanks for the props and for the support. Thank you for letting people know that we can agree to disagree, and yet still be united for the common goal and that is the uplift of our people.
I have a secret – but Bruce and Glen know this because I told them.
I live in Virginia (Northern VA to be precise) and given the choice of the Borg Queen or Obama, I pulled that lever for Obama, but not for the reasons one would think.
Obama still has to explain himself on many issues, and at the time I voted for him, he has yet to do that. But the antics of the Clinton campaign opened my eyes even wider than Bruce and Glen did with their commentary at BAR and BC.
They pointed out all of the foibles of the Clinton Administration, including some I experienced myself as a government employee.
Affirmative Action – “mend it, don’t end it” gave birth to Ward Connerly, Shelby Steele, Larry Elder, Star Parker, Angela McGowan and Amy Holmes. All benefitted from it.
All were quite willing to slam the door on everyone else. For Clinton, it was a means to an end run around the GOP controlled Congress and slinging people of color under the bus for profit and preservation – there were several attacks on affirmative action that would have stood court challenges but the Clinton administration ordered all of the Justice Department to stand down when the challenges came, most notably in my home state of California, where Connerly did the most damage.
Proposition 209 should have been challenged in the Supreme Court as a violation of the 13th and 14th Amendments of the Constitution. Janet Reno argued for that challenge, and Clinton threatened to fire her in response.
Think about that. Not to mention that the prison industrial complex quadrupled on his watch, and to see Sheila Jackson-Lee trying to tout her sorry piece of legislation (and I say sorry because Maxine Waters and Cynthia McKinney, along with Danny Davis and Bobby Scott, all introduced similar measures and couldn’t get the rest of the Caucus to fall in line to support their measures), gave me indigestion.
Clinton tried to capitalize on her husband’s “accomplishment” but she knows if she’d been anywhere else, we’d questioned her up the yang about that.
As I said, if it came down to Clinton or Obama on the issues, they both make me wish John Edwards or Dennis Kucinich were still in the race, or better yet, I wish Gore would throw his hat in, because he’s away from Clinton and he’s grown a spine – not to mention the Clintons slung him under the bus to make way for Hillary and a de facto third term.
Her sense of entitlement and the race baiting turned me to Obama, but that does not mean he will ever get a free pass from me, especially since Bruce and Glen are my mentors as well as my big brother/father figures who have no truck with giving Obama any slack. They tried it, and as far as they’re concerned, we need to be willing to hold him to the same standard, if not a higher one, because getting him in POTUS may make white people think they’re eradicating historical guilt, but the proof will be in the pudding.
I have confidence that Michelle will be for him what Bobby Kennedy was for JFK. JFK wanted to forget all about Civil Rights once he got the White House – Bobby stayed on his ass to remind him he made a promise to Black people who did vote for him that he would enact civil rights legislation. Although Kennedy didn’t get to see that part of his legacy passed, cause Johnson actually put things into action, the Civil Rights legislation would have never gotten where it did without Bobby Kennedy, and I envision Michelle Obama having the same kind, if not more powerful influence to keep Obama grounded.

This entire event was something special, and consistant with segmentation they lied to different disfavored based on their chances :::Saved or The Damned.

Today’s society is kind of like this Big Lie:::The gods got their tools into place and then enforce their positioning. That’s why we see AA meetings ocurr daily. It’s why people incurr (fatal?) evil setting people in the wrong direction in the psychoanalysis profession. Similarly, the gods WILL enforce their Manifest Destiny/Christianity position, and Planet Earth is going to die EXACTLY as it reads in the Book of Revelations.

Incidentally, the Republican’s deficit spending illustrates they are preditory on the next generation, preditory on children. And to say the Republicans deem the children as “acceptable losses” says something morbid.
Life used to be hard. People had to walk a mile to draw water. There was no refridgeration or canned foods. Now life is easy, but only in terms of life’s “basic necessities”.
The “salvation” dynamic is quite the opposite:::We paid for our easy lives with our very souls.
Life IS hard now. The gods have used their clone host tools to create the perception of evil rewarded (Italians, Japanese, etc) and then corrupted the disfavored with it. (Expect Asian Westernization is met with a European-style short memory span, allowing the gods to use their historical enemy, the Japanese, to corrupt Asians as they used the Italians to corrupt us).
Before life was easier, more simple, innocent, pure. Employing these temptations ensured corruption is EXTREMELY difficult to overcome, a tactic which progressively ensures fewer disfavoreds repair their relationship with the gods.
The people the gods put around Jesus were not good. Perhaps more accurately said:::The people the gods put into these clone hosts come time to write the scriptures were evil.
The gods created a distraction, “savior”, preventing people from realizing the good’s Jesus’s original purpose, just like they did in this Situation::::Hurricane Boss and the associated $50 billion dollars of distractive temptation. Now people think I will save them, I have to pay for everybody, my death will absolve people of their evil, and they continue to fall for temptation no matter how evil the request. Sound familiar? This is characteristic of the gods inferred clues you need to interpret.
There is a bitter pill people must swallow. The sooner you understand and begin to behave appropriately the better your chances.
I personally believe this Situation is about the “new Boss”, for positioning a Second Coming of Christ would imply The End and that would make people freak. Either way make sure you ask about ethnicity, because the gods offer clues like the Penis and The Boot to help us understand. Also remember the gods honor matrilineal descent and the women are the keepers of the blood. This tactic can serve to be quite deceptive.
Just as therapy sessions and AA meetings proves they enforce their psychoanalysis positioning, so will they enforce their Christianity/Manifest Destiny positioning, ensuring Planet Earth dies according to the Book of Revelations.
Even if there were a “new Boss” you will continually being reincarnated until you either ascend or are ultimately thrown away.
“Instant gratification” is a tactic the gods instilled about 25 years ago. Now they use it, ensuring a certain percentage of disfavored don’t have the patience necessary to pursue the path, fix their problems and instead give up, continuing with their corrupted behavior.
People need to understand the 20th century changes are new. Life remained essentially unchanged for a very long time.
I realize they are making promises to most of you about Planet Manifest Destiny, telling you everyone will go. This is not true. It is a tactic. Many/most of you may go, but if you don’t behave appropriately I believe the majority will begin dropping like flies in a couple hundred years.
Planet Manifest Destiny is a “magic”-fueled environment:::The food is better, the sex is better, life is “enhanced” with magic.
The gods only use their power to hurt you:::If they peaked you euphorically for homosexuality you’d be out sodomizing each other. If they peaked you for drugs you’d be an alcoholic or a junkie.
“Magic” is only used to hurt you, and these “magic”-fueled experiences on Planet Manifest Destiny will be no different.
Too many whites look at blacks and write them off:::”They’re fucked.”, “They’re finished.”, “Who cares, fuck them.”. There is much you can learn from observing how the gods deal with morbidly disfavored groups like this. For example:::The gods LOVE to sell blacks on sex. Black popular culture, within their social groups, etc, sex is pushed like a drug. THIS IS A CLUE TO THE DISFAVORED THAT SEX IS BAD FOR YOU, as is everything the gods “sell” to the black community in popular culture (fashion, jewelry, “cool”, individuality, etc).
THE GODS DON’T RESPECT SEX AND THEREFORE INFLICT HYPERSEXUALITY UPON THE MOST MORBIDLY DISFAVORED, Italians and blacks. Food is similar. I’d refer you to the nature of Jewish food. The gods enhanced temptation with the diversification of foodstuffs in the 20th century. There are many elements at work here besides sex and food.
If you don’t understand these temptations, if you aren’t thinking correctly when you arrive on Planet Manifest Destiny you will succumb to this temptation-ridden environment and you too will be gone in a couple hundred years. Example::::Men with drinking problems are peaked euphorically for alcohol. If they don’t understand this dynamic of their disfavor, if they’re not working on fixing their problems once they experience life up there they will experience this enviornment and never have a real chance again, for the objects of their disfavor (sex, food, alcohol) are far better than what the gods offer on Earth AND enhanced with “magic”.
Planet Manifest Destiny is not the goal, as so many of you believe. It is distraction, temptation, punishment, tactic, one that is going to ensure over 95% of candidates fail.
The gods taught you that temptation would be used to test you. You need to understand good from evil, right from wrong, decent from the indecent. If so you’d recognize the indecency and destructive nature of “magic”.
The reality you don’t see.wav:::You need to address your disfavor and the “magic” they punish you with or you’ll never get off Planet Manifest Destiny.
A glimpse of the god’s pathology:::Push them into “wanting it”, cut out their clits to justify that change then fuck them all for it.

If you engage in the hedonism which the region offers even after Katrina dispersed the community it means you are The Damned. As the people became increasingly indecent as the 20th century wore on so did we lose this precious benefit bestowed by the gods, opening the door for evil to befall us and for fatal evil to be incurred by the morbidly disfavored.
