I love hearing about the work on the ground. You can feel it; they've all been so descriptive.

I love these diaries and keep them coming. I went with other volunteers from IL-10 (suburban area north of Chicago). We are volunteers for Dan Seals and we manage to take a break for Barack and show the love.

Our job was to ask voters who they would be supporting and informing ALL voters of the rally in the morning. We talked to bunches of senior voters: 75-95 years old! Most of my senior voters were black. What was fascinating is that they very politely declined to tell us who they supported but once we talked about the rally, they were all on it and knew about it and were going. It seemed obvious to me that they were supporting Barack but felt impinged upon to tell some unknown quantity on the phone just what would be going down!

I love your report and thanks for all the detail. Good to *feel* the work we have all been doing.

Thank you so very much for this posting!

I was phonebanking into Kingstree (from Obama’s volunteer headquarters in Chicago) the evening before the rally.
