This is a bit off-topic to our Obamamania, but I would like to say that I very much admire George Will. I disagree with many of his positions. But he's honest, he's not a shill for anyone, and he makes me think / gives me an education. Which I guess is what a good columnist is supposed to do.

I suspect Barack would be the first to say (and he has said) that he wants to work with others with whom he doesn't always agree. I think George Will is in that category.

Now I'll return to my usual state of Obamamania! I was too nervous to watch even a minute of the debate!

mmmm, no nichelle. Barack Obama served in his state senate (Illinois) before running for the US senate. So in fact, he has been elected to “other office”.

It should be noted that Barack Obama is among those 12 senators BTW...
